Unlike virtually every other tree, where the lower level abilities retain their usefullness even once you have levelled beyond them, the spy tree becomes littered with redundant abilities. The reason... there is really no need for more than 2/3 stealth moves because in all practical situations you wont get to use more than 2. At present there are too many stealth moves but conversely too few (or at least too visibly similar) IL ones.

For spies in general the only non knife IL move is legsweep meaning spy fights from an animation pov lack the required Matrix 'wow' factor.

Topsy turvy is a great animation too little seen in the game so lets liberate it and make it available in normal IL to bolster the spies variety of face to face attacks -  I think with minimal effort it could be made to work with opponents facing each other or a pivot animation could be front ended to the opponent or a spin behind animation linked to the user to initiate it .... damage and cool down timers could be adjusted for balance.

Lets have it as an extra IL skill.... or a replacement IL skill for one of those boring knife animations as its too good to just simply hog memory or get minimal screentime... doing the business AND looking cool about it is a cornerstone of the Matrix franchise

While I agree with you 100% that spies lack interlock moves, I think with all the spy haters that we have of late it will be hard to get even a good idea like this one much support.

Yeah it's a great idea, but the nerf mkt fan club will shoot this one down very quickly SMILEY

it wouldnt bother me and im in the club.. its the constant stun thing that does my head in .. that at the fact that 90% of knifes seem to hit, and if it dont it takes about half a second to tro another stun knife.

The honest answer is that spies have PLENTY of interlock moves.  It just so happens that most of them are knives!

Looking to the future - if the timers sorts balance out a bit......  Hell yeah.  Or just remove a knife from interlock use and give it to topsy turvey...... *shrugs*

As long as you use all three offensive spy tree's yes there are plenty of IL moves but that is akin to using every MA tree....or every gunman tree...etc Sadly MKT is the only branch of spy that can live in isolation....

Anyways I digress yeah I'd be more than happy to sacrifice a knife move in IL and we simply have more stealth attacks than can be practically applied so a subtle change here just makes the build a more visually impressive, more efficient without actually being more effective etc etc.

At least they can animate the spy moves in IL.  Wouldn't it be cool to see your guy do a sidestep move and then drive a knife into someones gut?  Or do two blocks and then slit the guys throat all in bullet time?  I have always wondered why that has not been implemented.

I don't see how spies are at a disadvantage in IL as I don't believe they are even meant to fight as well in IL as for instance MA or even guns.....

I agree completely with this topic  SMILEY

Topsy Turvy has always been one of my favourite combat animations as is, and if Assassins, KTs, etc. aren't going to be getting any actual knife stabs and/or slashes to replace their throws in IL, I see nothing wrong with making some of their other animations into IL specials.

I like this idea, Tytanya. Just lower the DPS of the move slightly, and its all good.

Yeah the TT is a awesome move. If the damage is adjusted from sneak attack to normal knife attack damage and it's on the correct family timer I'd welcome it.

Fantastic idea, Ty.

I'd love to have more interlock moves than what we currently have with just legsweep and 2-3 boring looking knife hurls.  I'd also like to see an actually spy hand-to-hand fighting style aside from just the self-defense style.

So devs, lets reduce the damage on Topsy-Turvy and make it inside combat, please.
