Greetings.

A special hovercraft battle will be held tomorrow, Wednesday the 23 at 6:00 PM MCT. Cypherite operatives discovered secret data about the transfer of Commander Lock to New Zion by E Pluribus Neo. Cypherite and Machine captains are determined to ambush EPN and Zion at the rendez-vous point, as the location is now known to them. In response, Zion and E Pluribus Neo also sent their best captains to defend Commander Lock's transfer.

Each organization has to submit a list of 4 experienced (if possible) captains, regardless of instances. This battle will run a special scenario. EPN/Zion will be teamed up against Cypherites/Machines. The battle will end when one side is completely eliminated. One liaison officer for each organization has to assemble a team and post the list here. Once they are convoked to the battle by their liaison officer, captains should post to acknowledge that they will attend the battle.

The battle coordinating itself will be held on the Recursion instance of the Matrix. If a captain is from either Syntax or Vector, it will be necessary to have an alternative RSI available, if possible, with a similar name.

It is also known that Cypherites have very little experience with Hovercraft Battles. BattleCoordinator will be available at least one hour prior to the battle to give a comprehensive tutorial if needed.

This battle is considered a critical Hovercraft Battle. Rank points obtained for this battle will be doubled.

Actually, I am very experienced with the Hovercraft battles, having often been the team lead for my side, and yes I would very much like to be involved.

Nothing will stand in the way of us getting Lock home to New Zion.

You're my friend, Yas...  I don't want to fight you, but I will if I have to.  In the name of our continuing peace talks with the Machines, I ask that you don't involve yourself with these Cypherite scumbags.

Lock is of no value to any of you anymore.

Friendships have to be placed on hold in the battlefield, we both know that. Equally, I think we both know that to cut ties with those willing to support us in this battle would probably result in our defeat before the battle had even begun. I wouldn't expect you to decline the support of EPN.

Lock must be of some value, otherwise we wouldn't be in this situation.

So be it.

For the record, the value Lock holds for me is simply friendship.

And I don't let my friends down.

Oh, I doubt he can resist the chance to take a stab at so many EPN in one place.

That's alright, though. The Roc's fully loaded and ready.

Come and get some. SMILEY

OOC:

Just a few questions:

  1. Will we be playing on a larger map? Because the few games I've been in have had small maps for the number of ships we seem to be talking about here.
  2. Will there be any rule changes allowed during this match?
  3. What is the winning scenario for both sides?
  4. Am I reading this as starting at 6pm PDT? I was under the impression it would be later than that.
  5. What will the winning captains be awarded with?

1. The combat area is indeed larger.
2. Rule changes?
3. I do not handle the final outcome that this battle will have.
4. Yeah, there was a misunderstanding. It is at 6.
5. Each participant will get 2 rank points. Disabled ships on the winning side will get 4 rank points and surviving ships on the winning side will get 6 rank points.
