Yeah what Procurator said about the difference being indicated in-game by whether you were using aim or actually in-game was what I was trying to indicate with the same sort effect being passed the station launcher.

FFQ: There is currently a debate about Mobius Code here which could possibly be assuaged by the introduction of some kind of Veteran Reward that actually lives up to it's name.  What do you think about the suggestion of some kind of reward system based on active subscription time?  Also; is this something we can bother you directly about or would we have to pester Virrago or Walrus or someone?

I'd like to think that if they did this they would also do something similar with the CQ system at the same time, perhaps a board or something. One can hope.

Rarebit made a CQ leaderboard spec for the web team to look at and Virrago has requested some of their man-hours be spent on MxO.  I don't know when this is happening or wether these points will combine but I have faith that eventually it will happen.  I see it as a seperate issue from the Veteran Reward thing though.

Are you, Ben "Rarebit" Chamberlain, officialy stating that in The Matrix Online it is always the year 1999 and that we should believe you?  Or are you saying that it is 1999 in a "I could be lying, I could be telling the truth, you decide for yourself" sort of way?

A character, specifically an exile once in charge of time in the Matrix, has already come out and explained that it is always 1999 in the Matrix with the whys and hows. Live event forum, lurk moar, etc.

Yeah, I know, I've seen it.  But an event character saying it would be faaaaar less official than Rarebit saying it.  Rarebit has said previously that we should be wary of who says what and what they have to gain by saying it, meaning that some characters might lead us astray on certain things to get their way.  Tick-tock could have done just that.

I'm asking if Rarebit, a dev from the game, is officially stating that it's 1999.

You definitely should! Especially the sequels start to rock. Well, in my opinion, of course.

I second that opinion. Rarebit, you will enjoy those books or face the consequences. SMILEY

I doubt that that will be answered as it could be construed as a future storyline question. It is always 1999 as far as players know, as it has been said in an LE. If it isn't, then it will be built upon in the future and Rarebit can't confirm it anyway...

He's most likely to say 'Use all the evidence available and judge for yourself'

He has to be very careful when confirming anything as It could come back to bite him in the arse!

Whilst I'd love to watch what happened if those two ever met up, I'd have to watch from a good 50 yards away behind bombproof glass.....

Would it be possible to put a timer of say 5 hours on the portable signal booster to prevent them acumulating as it makes tracking other luggables nigh on impossible, especialy if someone has gathered them together in one area.

Hi SMILEY
I just talked to an old MXO player who left the game a year ago (Baku)(who's a big WoW gamer) due to the lack of EndGame content, and that is one of the problems we face I think for the game's survivability and further enjoyment for the level 50 players out there.
And I know it's been proposed before  but it's important and that's why I'm doing it again and in this thread, Rare.

Here goes, what is the chance that we (50's) can get an:

Instanced Construct just like a hideout but less monotonous no copy/paste mapmaking here.
With Several sub-bosses at each new level to add to the less monotonous feeling and challenge.
And a highend drop of epicness from a boss that eats Neo's for breakfast?

I think that the MxO team must look towards the longivity of the game and the pvp without any real merrits to it gets *boring*. An instanced construct with a team of 6 or 8 going in and taking a week or more to complete  would work. We got the /exit command so perhaps that could even be worked into it as hardlines in there would perhaps be a bit wierd.
It could look like something from every Era on each level with a background as diverse as MXO's. A level from Ancient Japan with Samurais and Knifers?, A Level with Tombstones/graves dead trees and Bloodnobles and Bloodred Nightmares and Ghouls? I could go on.

So Rare? Any chance this could be implemented in 2008? SMILEY

And then of course get Aim back into the game as well would be an interesting turn of events too to comment on another topic of this thread.
