I was reading the paper at work last week and came across an article.

http://www.jsonline.com/news/state/aug05/349380.asp

I don't know if any of you have ever experienced the joy of summer camp, but I do know that this place will always have a special spot in my heart. If you read the entire article, you can see that there is allot of work to do and we cannot do it alone. I did the math and even with all the alumni donating, it would still come out to about $800 per, a hefty price for almost anyone to pay.

I am going to ask if my place of employment has a donation organization that they might be able to help with, and am asking all of you, if anything, $5 here or $10 there. Even if all you can do is spread the word, the more people that know about this the better.  For more information please visit
http://www.savecamp.com/

I know that we are all generous people, willing to help each other out, maybe we can take that to the next level. If you cannot make a donation, I understand, $ is tight around my house too.

If you plan on making a donation, please post here, and include my name as well. Robert Kohn. I think you can send a message with paypal, if not, post or email me the paypal ID you sent it with (just the ID so I can give credit where it is due), and I can post a message on the forums for the camp.

If you can think of a way to help that I have not thought of yet, please post it here. If you cannot swing a donation at this time, that is okay, I really can't either so I am doing what I can. Thank you all for reading this and most especially thank you for donating.

Question: Why do people donating have to include your name?

For personal reasons, I will not go into, I just want to let them know I still care.  Now Romav, if you have no intentions of helping, I bid you godspeed, as not everyone can help out, but there is no need to continue berating this thread here, and on general, and through messages.

If you want to let them know you still care, make a donation yourself.
Don't give me that "I don't have enough $" crap. You're paying for a
MMORPG. Cut that off for a couple months and donate the money from that
if you still "care". I find it disgusting that you want people to give
you credit for their donations simply because you spread the word.
Charity isn't about personal glory. It's to help out.

As you stated to me, if you really did get in trouble at this camp it's
probably the least of their concerns. From what I see of their website
they're more interested in the future than the past. Even if people
donated including your name, they probably wouldn't even remember you
or notice.

I didn't want to become hostile, but when you say I'm "berating this
thread" when I was simply seeking answers (or telling you off for
posting in the wrong forum, thankfully fixed by a mod) you're simply
asking for it.

(by the way, regarding what you said in your private message... I could
care less if you have been around since beta. So have I. It doesn't
make us any more special.)

To anyone else: If you feel like donating, do it under any name you'd like.

Problem being with cutting out MXO for a few months is the fact that "Bidding stops on Sept. 30th"  so there is little time.  I also believe I stated that I want to be able to give credit where credit is due.  If people just donate, thats great, I apreciate it wholeheartedly.  I would however like to get a list of people who are donating from MXO to place in the forums on the camp site so that I can say that even people who didn't go to the camp still care.  Now, I do apologize for being rude, I just don't like being called a n00b in a roundabout sort of way.  If that was not your intention, again, I apologize.  Plus, I am not throwing being in beta in anyones face, Im just stating that I have been around, even though I don't have many posts.  (Heck, I only had about 100 on the last boards, due to the fact that I don't post unless I can contribute something)
