I didn't read the other pages  .
1 year is a bit stupid, considering I pay for this game,
this has to be the weirdest rule in forum history

Ranks have a minimal posting requirement, they are based mostly on length of time subscribed.
Players here for less that 1 year can not have an avatar, you must wait until you have been subscribed for 1 year. (Although you can have holiday avatars if they are available)
It is this way because players that had been paying for a long time had lower rankings etc than those who just spammed the forums a lot.
You can cry, you can scream, you can throw a tanty, you can even try bribing the CRM... it won't make a difference. You just gotta wait it out.

Well back in the day you had to be 1 year on the forums to have an avatar..I believe that this is the one thing that hasn't changed!!So that means that even if you try and up your post count it won't make any difference.

There's a discusion on the forum ranks in this thread but the jist of the answer to your question is your rank goes up with a combination of posts and the length of time your a member of the forum. I can't find the current requirements for an avatar at the moment though.

I played wow for 6 months and never really liked it, I love this game so 1 year is nothing.
