As soe seems to be unaware, there are still a high number of characters with stats over 30....This is because when they fixed the exploit, they for some reason never reset us all and gave us a stat hack....

Please rare do a one time reset and give us all one stat hack..the few chars still doing this are quite annoying..

TY

He doesn't mean the archetype, just the resetting of our applied stats.

I couldn't agree more, I've said for a long time that this should have been done at the time of the fix.

I didn't know this was a current issue, but if it is, I see no problem with handling it in this manner.

I don't really see a problem with leaving it as it is either.

Only reason I can see that someone has no problem with this, would be if they used this exploit themselves!

It's not an exploit.  I don't use it.

I'll thank you not to point the finger.

Perhaps you're misunderstanding the premise, because it's about as blatant an exploit as could be.

Back before the fix, you could set yourself up somewhere nice and laggy in Downtown, for instance, and proceed to apply stats to certain areas with great rapidity.  Due to the lag, the system couldn't keep up with your mouse clicks, and eventually wound up overcompensating.  People ended up with stats beyond 30 (enjoying massive damage output, or impenetrable defense, and giving birth to dozens of naked PvP'ers), making it an exploit.

It was fixed long ago (hence why I can safely mention how to pull it off), so you could no longer do it, but those who had already, kept their stats as they were.  So, this is proposing that we reset everyone's stats to combat that.

It's not a big deal to execute, and it would only inconvenience us so much as having to reapply stats, and reading a MOTD.

Hm.  I'm not saying my memory is perfect but so far as I can recall; players used to be able to allocate their attribute points as they wished and it wasn't until around or just after Blue Sky that attributes were capped at 30.  I don't remember anything about lag being necessary but I could be wrong as I can't find mention of the cap in any Update Notes.
