@ Devs: Make luggables drop (AND remove the effects) on death, NOT reconstruct, thank you. That would lessen the number of people dual clienting to keep hold of a certain luggable.
  1. Drop on death
  2. You need to hold the luggable to get the buffs, once you drop the lug, you lose the buffs

They used to look silly and work silly, you have sorted the looks, now fix how they work >_<

Agreed, bring them back closer to their original spec, you know, the one that everyone got excited about when they were first announced. No hardlining inter-district either. heh.

I don't know what announcement you're looking at (I've seen you post this at least twice now), but the user being able to drop them and retain the buffs was the *original* development spec, and by original I mean like five years ago or so when they were first being worked on. I know what you mean but you need to get a new line. You can state what your opinion is without trying to pass it off as some kind of universal truth.

I still that that is a weird way for the luggables to work, especially as people can now hide the luggables they are using with a load of Portable Signal Boosters left from people Datamining.

Also, thanks for the announcement on the event but you left out the time zone your working on ^^
Just saw the thread

Since we are on the subject of luggables, I'm getting a little tired of running threw every white hallway just get a hold of them in the international district.

It's really not that hard if you know where you're going...

Every time, jeese.

Look, i am sorry for always being the only one of these forums to post my views in a truth suggesting manner.

Its not intentional. Its not like i'm trying to spread some sort of collection of well thought out lies to try and progress my grand plan for MxO forum domination ¬_¬

Anyway, i was working off this.

"Luggables cannot be taken outside of the Matrix. So a player with a luggable has to stay in the game or drop it so someone else can pick it up. You will also automatically drop it if you teleport via hardline or otherwise leave the main Matrix construct.

That also means the luggable will be dropped if the player carrying it dies. What's that? Did I hear some cheering from our PvPers? SMILEY<img src=

Yes, one of the main reasons to add luggables to the game is to give PvP some meaning"

(empthesis added)

As for retaining buffs, Maybe i misinterupted some of that, maybe i don't go trawling through news archives to validate my opinion every time i post a vague memory, maybe i wasnt a member of the dev team 5 years ago. I don't know. Again, my apologies for any misleading i may have done.

It may not be hard but its a pain in the *CENSORED* to run every white hallway until you get it right.

Were the drop rates of the Smith Frags edited at all?  They seems to be dropping very slowly and considering how many you need to get all the male and female shirts (170 I think) it will take a while and if you cant log on as much as I can.

Its taken over an hour to get 20, that equals about 8-9 hours to get the set.

heh, well the Halls do follow exact set of coordinates. So based off of what direction and how far the luggable is from your current location, usually it can be narrowed immediately down to 3 hallways or less.

But truthfully, I'm just being an *CENSORED*; luggables should drop before entering the halls because it is just simply frustrating to get around.

EDIT: oh and Solid, I noticed that too. There's a few spawns of three or two Smiths that don't drop frags whatsoever. The single Smith spawn nearly always has a frag. Thinking of this...assuming we get another set of masks for Halloween next year, there needs to be some changes, or the rare masks will become super rare masks.

Try grouping with other players.  The more players, and the higher their levels, the more chance you'll have of spawning more and higher levelled Smithlings.  The higher the level of the Smithlings, the higher the chance they will drop frags.  This is observation only, you'll have to ask Rarebit to be sure.

Quick question, will the firewall candy only work during the anniversary event...i know that the whole point of it is to protect you from the Smith virus, but will you be able to get the groovy green firey effect thing happening? Or is it another email strorage job?

They'll work all year round, but they will be just for show.  The Brownies worked all year round too I think.

I sent a PM to Rarebit asking this very question... he must be busy sorting through all of his PM's and I wouldn't be surprised if he just thought 'wait and see' or just deleted it as one of a number of silly PM's but yeah, I've stocked up on candy, just in case, for the occasional use for the rest of the year!
