HACKER TESTING OF CR2

Testing the TaskMaster with Hacker.

Okay the other day I loaded up a full hacker tree and tested several different things out.  We'll start with the load out.  I took All of Ballista and then Network Attacker down to Codeshock and the first ability 'Hostile Programming' in Vector.  My attributes are set up as follows.  Belief 30 / Perception 8 / Reason 5 / Focus 25 / Vitality 30.  My bonuses with the various HyperDodge, Hacker buffs running was as follows.  Viral Accuracy +111 / Viral Accuracy Bonus 20% / Viral Damage +156 / Viral Damage Bonus 74% / Ballistic Defense +120 / Ballistic Defense Bonus 29%

As far as the Taskmaster after about 5 minutes of trial and error I was able to solo him fairly regurlarly by just using Logic Barrage 4.0 and logic blast 3.0.  He would deflect perhaps 1 out of every 3 Hacks from me, and was able to hit me 1 of about every 2-3 shots, but I was able to sustain the damage and continue hacking.  Most times he would have me at about 25-40% health before I killed him.  Only problem was he never interlocked or attempted to interlock.  If he had I'm sure I would have been in trouble.

Testing NPC with Hacker.

With the same loadout I hardlined into CrestonHeights and proceded over to the boss area in the park.  Surprisingly most of the NPC's were one shot kills with Logic Barrage 4.0 or Logic Blast 3.0.  They would  deflect I'd say 1 out of 3, sometimes less.  The Boss and all three chevron NPC's in the area were two shot kills with Logic Barrage 4.0 and Logic Blast 3.0 or one shot kills with Logic Cannon 2.0 (Logic Canon 1.0 and 2.0 did insane damage to NPC's).  Damage on the high lvl NPC's in Creston maintained at a regular 1800-1900 for both Logic Blast 3.0 and Logic Barrage 4.0 However damage for Logic Cannon 2.0 went through the roof at over 6k a shot.   I was hit farily frequently with ranged attacks but with never enough damage to concern me.  I used the same build on a Pandora's Box 3 with pretty much the same results, though I was in a full group.   I was hit much more frequently with ranged attacks with the PB and took more damage.  I easily would ahve been killed by the ranged damage if I had not been in a group

Testing PVP with Hacker.

Again with the same loadout I dueled a few faction members who were loaded up as Akido Grandmasters, and then took the build described above to Mara C where I battled a few other hackers and duelest.  The logic Canon 2.0 did significant damage when getting through on people, for the most part almost halfing their health with about 1300-1400 damage.  The logic Canon 1.0 did about 300 damage less.  The timer for the Logic Canon 2.0 and Logic Canon 1.0 are both about 10 seconds reuse.  In the same amount of time you can use the following attacks Logic Barrage 4.0 followed by Logic Blast 3.0 followed by another Logic Barrage 4.0.  The damage difference between the Logic Cannon 2.0 and the three attacks described with Logic Barrage and Logic Blast was negligible and seemed extremley balanced.  It seems that players who had Viral Defenses loaded up deflected about 1 out of every 3 perhaps 1 out of 2 of my hacks.  However those who had no defenses against Viral Attacks died quickly within 2-3 hits or in about 20-30 seconds.

Interlock

Both NPC and Players seemed to have a harder time interlocking me with CR2. With an Akido Grandmaster taking about 3 hits to break my Evade.  I could not find my Evade score but my bonuses were Combat Evastion 15% and Evade Interlock Bonus 13%

Debuffs

I didn't test debufs much but it seemed like by the time I hit someone with a debuf they were out of it before I gained any benefit from casting the Hack.

Inner Strength Regain

Inner strength Regain was a problem with it running out in a prolonged fight.  My stats for IS was as follows Max IS 77% / IS Regen Bonus 55% / IS Regen Bonus 62 % / IS Cost Modifiere 5% / Max IS 20 pts.  I could however throw on the Skript Kiddie buff and get another 10% IS Regen Bonus.

I heard hacker is bugged and doing more damage than its suppose too.  How much damage were you doing to the taskmaster?

Not nearly as much as I was doing to the NPC's in Creston.  I can't remember off hand but I'd say way less then half of what I was doing to the NPC's in Creston.  I seem to remember it being in the 400-600 range for the logic blast 3.0 and logic barrage 4.0.  Never attempted the logic cannon to long of a timer that could be disrupted with a hit.

Seems really high since my strongest duelist attack only does like 60 dmg.

Ah read a thread where it shows that when you have the Stinger or Lancet loaded it bugs out your viral attacks and causes alot more damage.  I had a Stinger loaded during the entire testing so there goes that round :smileymad:

Yes, I did solo him Renesis, but it was far from quick.  When you say you could only do 60 damage with your strongest attack, which one do you mean?  Outside of interlock I could not do very much damage to him either, (Dual Pistol Execution would land for about 200, Full Auto Redux slightly higher maybe 220-260) but inside interlock, less powerful moves like Pistol Aerial worked with decent regularity and did between 200 and 300 damage.  He was much more consistent in damaging me, doing between 100 and 200 per normal attack, but that was all he ever did.  He did not use any specials to cause any debilitating states, and his damage was easily mitigated with health pills, though I just read that those may be restoring to much health.

I hope I answered your question, if there was one.

What gun were you using?  Those numbers are way too high.  If your using a hampton hideout gun (stinger, lancet or needler) then that would explain it.  Those guns havent been converted yet and shouldnt be used for balance testing.

I'm well aware of the brokeness of the Hampton Green guns.  I was using Bedlam in interlock and Clamor in freefire.  Clamor's 15% Stun is a big factor as well.

ok I did some testing of Taskmaster with my Destroyer/Arbalest loadout.

It was me and an Karate Grandmaster (I think) and no I didn't use the bugged guns because I recycled them.

Overall Taskmaster was pretty balanced. It took us a while but he still needs to be a little harder because it should really be hard for 1 or 2 players and take 3 or more to kill him. The one thing I noticed right away was that he didn't do any damage using free-fire on me. I could even sit down and regen my IS while he shot me and only did 1pt damage to me.

But while I was sitting on the ground I ran into a bug. I didn't have my sheild up and he interlocked me. But the system didn't recognize that I was fighting so I was unable to use my abilities cause it thought I was still sitting.

I was able to do a little damage which his viral resist and defense is just about right if we were fighting with 3+ people. I would hit him with my logic blast/barrage about 3/5 times and most of the debuffs the same except for Destroyer and Logic Cannon3 which should be about right. For those to get through I'd have to use upgrade attacks and overclock, use destroyer to lower his viral resistance and then Logic cannon 3 to be able to do any significant damage which was around 5-700pts damage. But that only landed about 1/3-4 which is just about right since it does so much damage.

As a level 50 duelist with some smg and rifles loaded my Dual Pistol Execution using bedlams does 58 damage to the taskmaster.  I dont understand how you could be doing 200+ damage with bedlams.  I can do 225 damage if I use a stinger, lancet or needler.  Something isnt right here.

There were a couple of other people there yesterday when I went and they couldnt do a lot of damage either.  I still think my numbers are right and yours are wrong.  Can you please go back there with duelist and try it again.  Email your hampton guns to yourself before you go and lets see what happens.

I just took a run at him with MKT/Assassin, and it wasn't pretty....  First off, my suplex only did 87 damage to him, and my knives were doing in the 20s...  I didn't have any trouble hitting him, but he was just absorbing too much...
