Free.  Just bear in mind that Valve have something of a zero-tolerance policy to cheating. I don't know if they're very good at detecting cheating, but if they do they'll ban your account and you won't be able to access any of your Steam games. It's hardly likely to happen... I'm just warning you.

I bought TF 2 a few days ago and love it. Definitely love scout, spend half my time kiting 3-4 people around trying to kill me while the rest of my team actually goes about winning the map againist a significantly outnumbered opposition. Either that or medic cause basically no one goes medic so I have to. I don't think Pyro's are that OP, sure they can ambush you around a corner but a knowledgeable team will just get a demoman to fire a pack of grenades around the corners on payload maps.
Speaking of Demomen I really am suspicious of them, I think the blast radius of the sticky bombs is way too big, half the time my character will spontaneously explode into little bits without me hearing an explotion or seeing one, then it'll zoom halfway across the map to the demoman who killed me.
