It was another dark and rainy night in Mega City. The only visible light was that of a small lamp hanging over the door of a small bar. The sound of rain hitting concrete voided the tapping of footsteps as a shadow made its way towards the door. His gloved hand opened to door to a near empty bar. Smooth jazz irradiated from the band playing at the back of the room. The man shook off the rain as he walked to the bar. He sat down and waved for the bartender. “Scotch on the rocks, Boss.” “Coming right up.” The bartender slid the glass to the man and made the comment, “Haven’t seen you in a while, man. What you been up too?” The man smiles and takes a drink, “This and That… guess you could say I took a vacation.” “Yeah, where’d you go?” “Nowhere special, just had to get away from the city.” “I hear ya.” The bartender replied while cleaning various glasses. The man spun around on his stool and began to watch the band. He took another drink then sat his glass on the bar. “I love this music, it never gets old.” The bartender nodded. The man sat quietly enjoying the music and his drink. When He finished, he paid, nodded to the bartender and began to walk out. The bartender shouted as the man left, “Hope to see you again soon.” The man turned with a smirk, “Count on it, Boss” and walked out the door.
