Sokuda was simply attempting to unite the machine organization, in the wake of the recent division in ideals, tactics and even loyalties. I applaud him, not admonish him for taking a stand and proclaiming that we needed to hold a meeting to discuss where we're going and what we can do to become stronger.
The problems with those meetings amounted to the flimsy agenda, and the people in attendance. Some machines came to the meeting for 'something to do' but had no interest in listening to Sokuda's points, which as per the thin agenda, weren't covered in enough detail. Everyone was so focused on spitting "Ugh who made you leader, Sokuda?" that nothing was accomplished and the meetings eventually dwindled. If I have a point to make at this meeting, then I will think nothing of standing in front of you all and requesting that everyone shuts up long enough to hear it, and if that makes me a 'wannabe leader', then so be it. I would think that we had enough respect for each other to put aside the accusations of power upheavals, and do everything we can to help the machine cause, instead.
This will be a meeting to discuss machine communication, and other matters. You can be as IC or OOC as you wish, but if you know you won't be able to sit still long enough without spamming area chat with nonsense, or causing an undue fuss, then don't attend. Does this make me a 'wannabe leader' again for requesting that? I really do not care, /losesleep. No one's going to tell you what to do or how you should act in this meeting, Yas called it for discussion.
As for the Cypherite's, I personally don't consider them to be machines. The fact is, however, they'll never have their own org, so they presently operate under the machine banner. This makes them as welcome as anyone else, if not by ethics then certainly by design.
I'll be there if I can, and I'd be willing to discuss things appropriately. That's because I respect Yas, and I'd be willing to listen to him. He doesn't do the holier-than-thou thing, and he's actually in a Faction that could call itself the main force of the Machines. He also doesn't take things too seriously, and won't attempt to suck the fun out of the game. That's what this is. A game. And I felt Sokuda was trying to control things, and in turn was sucking the fun out of it. And sure I could have just not gone, but being I spend most of my game time as a Machine, I'd be pretty stupid if I didn't listen out for anything the other Machines might do. Worst case scenario is I come to PvP the next day, and find out we have another *CENSORED* truce with the Mervs.
