Thanks for the comments, everybody. Sorry I've been out for a while. Work and family have taken all my time this week.

You know, looking that pic over, I cannot even fathom how you do that. I can't even draw hands... And how did you give the coat that awesome shine/reflective look?

Bottom line is you are the second coming of christ.

I would agree that he is the second coming of christ, but he is not "drawing" it, otherwise he'd really be the secondcoming of Christ + Buddha + (add another few important people here). He is modeling them in a program, then rendering for high quality.

But he's still pretty good at modelling, though ... Pyraci, I want moar of your drawings too, they're awesomesouce =D

Thanks! The shiny/reflectiveness is programmed in the shader settings - specular glossiness and reflection strength, with some subsurface scattering as well. You can give an object the properties of any surface or substance. It's amazing what these programs can do. SMILEY

As for the drawing aspect of my work, that is very much alive and well. That's what has occupied most of my time away. They're not Matrix-related, but here are some examples:

http://ryo80.deviantart.com/art/Ang...Color-101920067 (I did the painting on this one. Original lineart by Randy Kintz.)

http://ryo80.deviantart.com/art/Onna-97686291 (NWS if you log in SMILEY)

http://ryo80.deviantart.com/art/Pil...rimage-93932305 (Everything besides the figures's skin is drawn and painted)

Except for the angel, I already know them, and their cool. When I'm extremely bored, I sometimes go through galleries on deviant-art, yours is one of them =D

Your an insanely gifted individual and although I see alot of cool art through MxO your probably one of the most talented artists I have seen over the years even outside of the MMO art forum circut. Granted Im not some old school oil painting snob but I have very high standards especially for drawing and rendering and you continue to impress me.

I appreciate that, man. I was taught to be a renaissance man - to be skillful at all types of things, especially where art is concerned, and I've been trying to perfect all of the things that I've learned and continue to learn. I love sharing the artwork I make, and I'm glad people like to see it.

Hey! Sly devil, you know all about pushing in line don't you? SMILEY

I'm fairly certain I was in before you!

But considering I have a baby on the way and money is tight at the moment, I'll stand aside for you... this time SMILEY

As a matter of fact, I've had a look and I was in three months before you. I can supply links if necessary. SMILEY

Not that I'm being petty or anything. >_>

No need to supply links, and I can't believe I'm continuing this, but I asked a him personally a long time before actually asking on the forums but I guess that wouldn't stand up as evidence

... Now I feel like a five year old in a playground

Stoppit, I already said I'll step aside for you! SMILEY

I'll be on it as soon as I get a new hard drive. Mine is dead at the moment. Though I have extensive backup, so no worry. That's part of the extra knowledge and wisdom SMILEY

Have no fear, my memory is better than most. Unfortunately though, capital has to be what starts the commissions these days, as much as I hate to say it. Though I will say that because of the times, I can work for very affordable rates. I won't do too much self-advertising in the middle of Rare and Virrago's forum, but I can get with you guys via PM or email about it.
