I know sims aren't widely used, so here's a couple of things that would (i reckon) make more people use it.

1) Remove proxy coder. Its very annoying to have someone macro load a proxy coder build, kill the sim, macro back to a main load and steamroll a proxy tech without a proxy.

2) More control on what sim spawns. Would make the loadout way quicker to set up, rather than spending 5 minutes trying to get the right sim. If speed, power and grab spawned a cycle of sims from a certain tree, i.e speed tactics spawns MA sims.

3) Lower IS cost of the aura's OR at least let the IS cost reduction bonus work on every cycle.

4) Having an extra button on the sim's control panel telling it to interlock, or shoot from range. Or if that isn't possible, have being on aggressive make the sim try to interlock, and defensive shoot from afar.

These ideas are all pretty simple, and would probably be easy enough to implement considering the size of the MXO team.

Please?

@1) Just reduce the damage done to a Simulacrum ... by ALOT (scale by level, damage of 500 with viral stats at lvl 50). Don't remove it completely, though.

Some abs needs an "upgrade": Detonate Proxy (damage is scaled by HP, and even with maximum HP or even increased max HP the damage done is minimal) and Drain Code (same as DP) and Absorb Simulacrum (have to test this one, though. The damage / gain ratio is a tad unfair as far as I can remember, even though H.P.S. is 226).

Edit: But most essentially, we need an AI upgrade for the proxies to work properly.

1. Fix Nuker Sim's attacks, would be nice to see it use the highest abilities it can use and not use Code Nuke 1.0 randomly.

2. Fix Patcher Sim/Fix Enhanced Dodge, allow it to override Hyper Block & Dodge, but not Hyper Sense or Deflect. Also allow the sim to use the  Upgrade Master buff.

To fix the Proxy Coder, Id say have something that isnt Destroy enemy proxy, because if a proxy coder is doing a mission, you get maybe one sim per 50 missions and they aren't kill-able with this attack. Change it out for a normal Viral attack and keep to the usual "proxy coders give back up to sims" scheme.

I think Proxy Coder should be a title buff. If you go up the Proxy Master tree, you don't get a single title buff that whole tree unless you go unto the Utility Technician tree. Maybe have it up Viral and Melee damage/accuracy?

Sims because they're 2 chevron don't use special moves that often, maybe bump them up to 3 chevron and take away the health buff from Fortify Simulacrum. That might unbalance things for a bit, but with some fine tuning it'd balance out eventually.

For the picking of the sim, maybe have 6 icons on the simulacrum panel used to choose which sim you code up, that look similar to the sim's aggressive, defensive, and passive icons. Default is Aikido Simulacrum, but you can select one of them and everytime you use a Remote Proxy ability it gives you the sim you want.

I don't know if it'd be possible though to have buttons to tell it to interlock someone. It seems Rifle and SMG simulacrums don't like to interlock, and Handgun sims sometimes decide to interlock. I usually just switch back between follow and attack until it decides to interlock the target.

As stated early, yes Nuker sims and Patcher sims need to use the highest level ability and not use lower level moves. Their damage output really suffers from that.

Yeah, the AI really needs to be fixed, and it sucks that if you run too fast or hyperjump, you loose them.

Valkerja, the lvl 55 npcs from Update 63 is very good despite her level. She uses abilities frequently and switchs tactics every so often including block. If the sims had AI like this, they would be good.

A problem with this thread is that hardly anyone uses the Sim trees, so no-one will keep this thread at the top and get the devs attention. Reason why people don't use the trees is because of all the issues discussed here!

Please Devs, take a read of this, do a few changes and help this class out!
