No, it won't. Niobe *is* Zion at this point. Zion has no Live Event characters other than Niobe and her people (Ghost, Anome). She is irreplaceable.

You think the community is going to be OK with that or will they need to avoid the boards due to implications on their other characters? -AlicethePattern, Head Archivist, Mega City Department of Energy Message Edited by AlicethePattern on 02-23-200607:12 PM

like rarebit/walrus said. This only applies to machines. But if you don't want the tag then don't request it to be changed but still contact the cypherite liason in order to secretly be inducted into the org.
Walrus/rarebit/hcfrog/etc,,,, thanks so much. Even though I won't be going this route, this is something vital to the storyline I feel and was a perfect work-a-round to not puting more strain on yourselves for creating more content for these (although the puzzle and meetings content seems like work but really is doable). This is actually a really good way of puting this into the game and I applaud you for thinking of it cause its even more cool that you have to solve a puzzle in order to become a cypherite! really good job guys. A+

No, I mean posting stuff for their cypherite characters on the forums under a First characters name. So... if you were in the KoN but also wanted to play a Cypherite... The stuff would still show up under your first characters name, a Zionist. Meh. Never mind. -Alice

There are places to hold discussions other than these forums, y'know... :smileywink:
Oh, and huge props to the devs. As much as I hate the Cypherites, I'm glad this is going to be done. At the very least, it gives us some definitive targets to shoot at, since so many people wear bandanas as fashion statements and enhancements these days.

1. Thank you Devs, this is perfect. It give recognition to the "real" Cypherites...its all we wanted... 2. Thank you Liasons, (on Syntax at least) you have done an awesome job of keeping in touch with us...it'll be a pleasure working with you in the future. 3. Thank you for a puzzle of some sort..although we solved it already (-sob-) it was great to have a "brain teaser" like back in the good old LE days...thanks again!

Aha, finally, I know which machines -specifically- to shoot at most.

While I'm not going to be taking advantage of these extended tags, I do applaud the devs for implementing them. It doesn't seem like you always listen to the players, but at least in this case you have, and you deserve some major props for doing it, and doing it so quickly.

Thanks devs! This will make a lot of ppl happy!
I have a question, is it a new org (/orgnames) or only a name change ( - cyph)?

I'm not sure this was spelled out specifically: The tags do not designate a separate Organization for PvP purposes. If you have the Cypherite tag added to your Faction name, you will still be a member of the Machine Organization.
Ergo, all people who have their name changed as such will still be considered part of the Machines in terms of organizations. It has been clearly stated that there will not be a new organization for the Cypherites - this is only a change in terms of roleplay, so that all those who wish to be known as Cypherites (like Somnus Fraternitas) will finally have that chance. It is, essentially, a change in faction name only.
Which is rather unfortunate. As much as I appreciate this, I'd still like my chance to take on MCPD and TC in pvp, outnumbered or not. Oh well. I can be happy with this.
