With the exceptions of when Neo used used the machine gun mounted on the heliocopter, and when Trinity shot the agent at point blank range, agents seem capable of dodging bullets only from a distance and only when they can see it. This emplys a potental weakness in that if multiple people, from multiple positions surround an agent and fire, the agent wont be able to dodge them all and the law of averages would mean that atleast one bullet has to find its target. If this is the case then why were agents considered so deadly when their strength seemed to lay in one on one encounters at close range? Couldnt the rebels at the time have devised a tactic with dealing with agents when they appear to defeat one?

That is definately a sound theory worth some thought.  I have to disagree though, because most Zion teams (movie wise) only consist of a few people, less than 10 definately even the hammer didn't have that many.  Now take into account that the only time we actually see this flaw (other than Trinity's headshot) the weapon used is a mini-gun mounted on a helicopter, those things fire at an adjustable rate, starting from 1000 rounds per minute to a crazy nuts 10,000 rpm (thats a potential 166 shots a second O.O)  Now, consider that all of the guns that would be available to crews in the loading program wouldn't have anywhere near that kind of speed rating, couple it with the fact that crews only consist of a handful of folk along with the fact that Agent's are ridiculously good at one-on-one combat I think that you're usually in a lose-lose situation there.  Yes, I do believe if you got enough people together it would work, but you'd probably have to have more than a couple of crews on one agent, now if Zion had the man power to put together a force like that all at once, then yes it would probably be a sound tactic (though I'm sure their would still be casualties, as we saw in reloaded even when shot an Agent can continue to function until at least his host body is put entirely out of commision).  Not a likely circumstance though I don't think.

Wait, can't Agents bend space-time so bullets don't hit them or somthing?

I always thought the reason that they didn't bend their way out of the mini-gun attack was because it would be screwing with far too much matter and would cause problems with stability... and stuff.

Oh, yeah, and they can posess nearby bluepills and come back to pwn your face. SMILEY

No, as far as I'm aware, Agents are unable to bend space time.  To quote Morpheus; "I've seen an agent punch through a concrete wall. Men have emptied entire clips at them and hit nothing but air. Yet their strength and their speed are still based in a world that is built on rules. Because of that, they will never be as strong or as fast as you can be."  Basically, they're better, but they cannot change.  They still must obey the laws of the Matrix.

No.

If a bunch of redpills surrounded an Agent and started to fire...

He'd duck. Bam. A bunch of dead reds.

That's assuming that Morph was right. He wasn't sure about the 'Who Struck First' comment right?

Eventually, with enough bullets, the agent will be unable to dodge the bullet. The bullet hit a bluepill, agent searches for another coppterop victim and you can kill him again, again and again...

Reeverb got his point. The agent doesn't care about his life (he has no life to take care of). Let's remember the first scene on Matrix Reloaded. The Agent follows trinity trough the window without giving a *CENSORED* about the deadly falling. Plus he is actually hit by trinity's guns and he doesn't show any sign of pain or worry.

I believe that the reason why Agent dodges bullets is for avoiding you (the redpill trying to kill him) to shot the bluepill he is using in that moment.

Yeah, the idea behind dodging is that he can't shoot you if hje has to jump bodies.  It's easier for him just to dodge your shots and pop you in the head.
