England are without Joe Cole which is bad news for them as Cole has been in great form for them in the past couple of qualifiers and Lampard and Barry were exceptional against Croatia so, does Gerrard walk right back into the team?

Shouldnae make too much difference to England ... theyre still rubbish.  Cut their pay packets and get rid of the prima donna attitudes and they might actually do something worthwhile.  When you look at the England team on paper they look amazing.. shame they cant make it happen really.. saying that as a Scot i dont think i could handle seeing England win something in my lifetime!
We haven't heard the end of the one that they won before our lifetime!

Still, if Scotland won something, we wouldn't let them forget it either SMILEY

Touching on the overpaid, prima donna attitudes; I've always said if I was at a club which I was happy and comfortable I wouldn't desert them for a bigger pay packet. It really pisses me off when people ditch clubs for the extra money. For example, if I ever ended up at the club I supported for my whole life the only thing that could possibly make me leave would be to join a club in which is a step up, and I only consider there to be 6 of those clubs in the world. In terms of winning tropheys, playing at the highest possible level and general lifestyle. (That'd be Arsenal, Man United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Baracelona). If I didn't want to leave, I wouldn't then be persuaded by the offer for my wages being tripled. If I'm sat there on 10k per week, the offer of 30k means nothing to me. Wow, money for another a new car this week, who cares? One is enough.

Oh nice! I didn't realise the draw was today.

Wow, Portsmouth vs AC Milan that will be fun. Kaka going to Fratton Park. I think Man City have the toughest group, but I like the look of Group C as an entertaining one. I'll be suprised if all four English teams don't go through.

Luka Modric will be up against his old team for Tottenham and if Pavlyuchenko wasn't ineligable, he would be too :O

Haha, it'd be awesome.

There'd be a huge tent up in Glasgow Green like in the Euro qualifiers.

I actually didn't realise how big Glasgow Green was until I walked through it on Sunday to get to the pitches, took me like 30minutes, lol.

I was in Spain during World Cup '06 and that was one of the most enjoyable times of my life.

We saw two Spain matches and the atmosphere, alcohol and football was awesome!

Manchester City should do alright, Maybe Paris St Germain will be a hard game.

AC Milan V Portsmouth will be good. It'll be between those two for the top spot.

Villa's hardest game will be against Ajax, But Villa's got a good team so it shouldn't be that bad.

Never discount the Germans and Spanish in Group A there.

I think Man City (despite their apparent financial soliditiy) will have a seriously hard time getting through.

Racing still have Ezequiel Garay who is one of the outstanding talents in Spanish football, so they'll be tough. It depends for Man City who they play home and who they play away. Schalke have a good team, Twente should be easy enough, Paris St Germain aren't that great anymore. Le Guen knows how to manage in europe but they narrowly avoided relegation last year and are only in europe due to a cup run, but they have made an improvement this year.

True Yas. City shouldn't worry about FC Twente but then again, If they go into the match thinking its theirs, They could get a suprise.

This is true. I suppose if there's one thing the last few years have taught us is that there's no easy game these days.
