Shouldn't PvP flagging be changed, on Vector, from 16 to 33?

Well I was wondering how everyone felt about the PvP level at level 16. I think maybe it should be raised to 33. There, You can basically taake care of yourself and know your way around. I think 16 is a little too low since your an easy target for ganks. Also, it doesn't help when your in Westview or International trying to do missions while being restricted in those areas while agents come and savagely shoot you to death and then BAM! You get ganked while trying to do a missions in an area where agents gank you and local gangs aren't too friendly. What does everyone else think about this?

Being flagged at 16 forces you to learn the basics of survival in The Matrix.  It teaches you to utilise buildings, hyper jump/sprint at the correct time to evade gangs and cq hunters.  That being said, it would only take one bullet, knife or being caught in interlock by an MA, and it's over extremely quickly without the possibility of escape.  You do have to learn that death IS around every corner on Vector, but without the chance of avoidance, 16 is perhaps a little low.  33 is the other extreme however, and much too high to be flagged for the first time.  I'd suggest somewhere around 25.  It's not a huge amount of levels above 16, but with every level comes more damage you can absorb, thus more chance of escape whilst maintaining the learning experience.

Fear of death makes us careful.

16 is just right, you soon learn that the enemy REALLY IS the enemy.

Got a few skills, feeling confident that you can handle NPC's? Here, have a permaflag, feel the fear!

I'd have to say that I honestly want the PvP flag to be lower, maybe level 10...or lvl 2 maybe? lawl.

I am unsure as to why the level 16 was selected.  Level 15 is when
a player gets to use a new upgrade.  Whether it be Guardian
patcher, Matrial Arts initiate.  I think 15 should be the
flag.  One gets to utilize their first upgrade towards there
char's build.  And because the build is actually starting, that is
when the flagging should commence.

nah i think they have it right at 16, and when you get the new upgrade at 15 it gives you a whole level to test it out and get the hang of it

16 is good.  My Vector alt got killed by a level 50 right when I hit 16, even before the 'Level Up' message had faded from my screen!  I couldn't help but laugh...reconstructed at a different hardline though.  :robotwink:

My alt got hacked to death in cr1 right after hitting sixteen.  I don't usually comment upon dying as it's not usually my way, but this time I thought a "Sad" was appropriate.  His response was: "It's the name of the game" Ok, not what I do but fair enough he has a point.  I log out then in again on my main character, and go on the hunt at the mission location.  A few minutes later, dead level 45* hacker on the ground.  I am then treated to a rare breed of sportsmanship, which would have been a gankers chronicle, if I were Sable (Errors his):

"You f****** p****, oh its so easy to kill me when your a big tough 50 huh?"

"I'm gonna get my fcation to kick youre a**, then grinde my a** off and make your life HELL"

There was more but I was laughing too hard to pay much more attention.  I gave him some words goodbye in his own language, just so he fully appreciated the magnitude of how scared I was:

"LOL, you said big and tough"

It's unclear whether or not his 'fcation' got the message or not, but I had no trouble from them.  As for the ganker turned gankee, never saw him again...The point of my tale is that if you do get ganked at level 16, you have all the time in the world to level up and exact some satisfying revenge on the poor soul who crossed you way back when.  I said earlier that flagging should perhaps be raised to 25, and I take that back.  This is Vector, and the quicker you learn that, the better.  Another point is to not reformat your computer and lose all the screenshots of people like our ganker/ee before :smileysad:

*DISCLAIMER.  I'm not what you would call a 'Ganker' although no disrespect to those who are.  This was one of the rare times where the reward far outweighed the honour however :smileywink:

heh..i was g7g when i first started playing. soon after i left machines and went merv..about level 12 or so i think. after i turned level 15 oranos seemed to always be there if my evade was down to punt me and laugh. i hated him, lol. but it was these experiences that taught me to always keep my evade up and how to survive on vector. after i turned 50 i made sure to get my revenge and all was good in my little world again.

vector is the most rewarding server for mxo, imo. its a test of survival and wits. and even at 16, if yoru careful...you can even  pvp against level 50's and  come out on top. might not get a kill but you can distract enough to get them killed by someone else. 16 is perfect to begin flagging. any higher and your not given the time needed to learn the fine art of pvp.
