I have been visiting DM quite often recently in order to mine info.  I have visited in really off hours when I can easily get the luggable and mine without getting ganked.  Most times I am the only one in there.

However since the latest update I have noticed far fewer nodes to tap in the few areas low lvl players can tap in (the parking lots, etc. you low levels know where they are).

Previously if I visited in off hours when no one was inside these areas were FULL of data nodes to tap and I was able to pull in 10-12million (using the lug) before getting bored, attracting a 255 agent or tapping most of the nodes out, now I get 4-6million in the same areas over the same time frame.

At first I thought that perhaps I was "on the tail" of the pro data miners and they had tapped out the easier areas where I go, but now I have observed enough to know this is not the case.  There just seem to be fewer and smaller nodes popping up in these specific areas. I also see more 255 agents than I used to but I cannot say for sure if this is related to the update or not.

Anyone else notice this?  Is it possible that the Devs have "nerfed" the lowbie areas?

Regards, T

I don't think they would "Nerf" it, unless they put some notes in. It could just be other people have been farming and they farmed those nodes -- so you could just be catching the "Mine" at a bad time. The high end of the Nodes, have not had any decrease in the amount of nodes as far as I know. As for the Low, they could just be resetting from being farmed?

I believe that the nodes spawn in another place as soon as they are tapped out in the construct. I have noticed as a lowbie tapping that I will occasionally be able to tap a node that is in a high level area. It seems to be that the nodes don't respawn in the spot they're supposed to, but rather spawn just somewhere in Data mine.

This is my understanding as well.  You just have to move around a little more to find them.

thanks for the feedback guys.  I continue to notice fewer nodes than before in the lower lvl areas.  If I move to where there are nodes they are, of course, too high a lvl for me to tap.  lvl 50s would not notice this.  I will continue to try time shifting, etc.  T

What I'v noticed that's bn happenin is, lvl 50's fail to much outside the lowbie green areas so they tend to stay at the lowbie area (bit stupid as u normally only get about 20k a tap.) What i'v started to do is when a lowbie FM is farmin i'll go to the areas where theres big clusters of nodes and tap like crazy to try and get them to spawn at the lowbie area. Tbh the node respawn should be set in areas rather than the whole of DM.
