Ch. 5 - I pray for their losses - Zion

None of you know me... yet. Then again, it's not like we've gone out of our way to attract attention.

The name is "Felsh", and I'm an operative Zion.

While my captain has asked us to keep a low profile, I think it's necessary to address a recent attack on a former ally of ours.

Atumal, an operative following Michael's path in EPN, had requested that we make a deal. EPN does have it's supply of Redpills throughout the City, but I suppose it was of convenience that he wanted to purchase a case full of them from us. Initially, the captain wasn't too fond of the idea... Michael isn't exactly abiding by the truce in all fashions -- despite what he believes Neo would want.

When I was given clearance to make the trade, Atumal asked to meet in a church within the slums. I suppose he didn't want to be spotted... Not sure why, though. He was grateful for the trade, and seeing as how he paid so much, I'm wondering what was so urgent about the situation.

I won't find out, not unless we get ahold of her. Valeska, that *Censored*. We were just finishing up when she entered the church, ready to cause a problem.

Atumal was brave, that's all I can say at this point. In reality, I wish he would have let me stay behind with him. He said he could handle it, and I believed him... The two of us could have stopped them, I know it. I could have called in backup... I guess there just wasn't enough time to analyze the situation, so as he asked, I left.

I know she made him suffer -- that's her thing. When I got back, the clean up crew had already finished their work... I know it wasn't my fault, and I know she's the one who did this, but I do feel responsible. I couldn't even find anything belonging to him to bring back to Michael and the rest of his EPN kin.
