1. When fighting an MA as a gunman, which is better to use? An SMG Specialist loadout or a Duelist one? What about against Hackers, Guns, and Spy?

2. As an SMG Specialist, what is good ballistic accuracy and damage? For a Duelist?

3. What are some ways I can improve damage when using my Sniper/Expert Rifleman loadout? I currently use the Elite Commando suit with the Overdrive Bandana instead of the helmet. I also use the abilities Dual Submachine Guns and Dual Handguns. With all of that on power I can get 100% ballistic damage bonus with 34pts of damage. I don't know if that's good, but my guess is no because most of my Sniper Shots deal 1,000-1,200 damage.

Any other advice is nice. Please give me as straight of an answer as possible.

1) I'd recomend SMG specialist as extra ballistic defence is pointless against MAs, and because the SMG specialist buff gives higher damage and slightly higher accuracy than the duelist buff.

2) I think around 115 accuracy is decent enough ( haven't been ingame for ages to know if thats exact)

3) Using the SMG specialist buff will give you alot more damage, but you will miss the sniper shot more, so pick your targets carefully. I'm assuming you already put on firearms skill and LUTS before the snipe.

Is it just me, or is it hard to get into position with Escape and Evasion, transfer in Concealment, load Line Up the Shot, and fire the Sniper Shot all in the 20 seconds of the Firearms Skill buff?

Generally I skip Firearms skill and just use the LUTS buff.  I pop firearms skill after I've already sniped and rooted them ideally.

I usually use Duelist, mixed with Rifles and SMGs. Duelist is kinda like Gun's Aikido, its more defensive than the others, plus gives a bit of Initiative.

For Sniper/Rifles load-out, I load all of Sniper, most of Expert Riflemen and the Dual Handguns/SMGs passive buffs for extra damage and accuracy and wear that brown misene trench, Squad Leader's Shirt, Quicksilvers, Yuki Bandana, Widow's Moor Lenses and Seraphims. 1,000 - 1,200 is usually the average damage people do when sniping, which is a good amount. You can probably kill someone with that and two Riflemen moves afterwards.

It seems for sheer power, the best outfit for sniping is the Elite Commando Gear, replacing the helmet the with Overdrive Bandana.

Only problem is with the Elite Commando Suit is MA's and Hackers will eat you alive. An MA could easily 3-4 hit kill you and a hacker could pile DOT's on you and watch you melt in less than 20 seconds.

I'm quite fond of mixing Sniper, Expert Rifleman to Deadly Shot and Duelist down to DPE. I don't usually pop Firearms skill for my snipes, I save it for IL. Nothing more shocking for your opponent than for you to turn around and shoot them in the face for 700-1000 damage when they finally drag you into IL.

Well it really comes down to the passive buffs, since the top tier of duelist gives you 10% and DPE is the bread and butter move for a duelist, along with pistol aerial. So you'd grab that and then hit the SMG Specialist too. It really depends on what your doing though, if it's PvP, then your loaded needs to be able to adapt; whereas in duels, you can set it specifically to take on the other build.

You mean to fight a duelist?

Your already getting a good damage bonus from using those clothes, the damage you inflict is going to be directly related to the other players resistance, so it's good to work out who is using the least amount of ballistic resistance. Remember the "top end" damage sniper files do more damage with specials. So you are best to equip a rifle with high dps on it.

As a gunner, learn to adapt and play your loadout correctly. If you design yourself to stay out of IL, then avoid it, if you are gear for it, then make sure you are breaking shields using grab. Resistance is key, always look to protect against damage from attacks, otherwise in this system you will get hit and you need to reduce the damage as much as possible, don't get caught in a 1 clothing mindset.

Area K

Squad Leader's

Quicksilver's

Ballistic 3% Defense/Resist (Coward's Pants work fine too)

Seraphims

Elite Commando Goggles (Or the SSR Glasses, I think they have ballistic resist, but I'll need to check (possible to lose the 2% defense buff off the goggles in replacement for the 10% IS, which I would consider using if you're using a Patcher's Headgear.))

Sakura or Patcher's Headgear

+ Hyper Dodge

Wear all of this, plus the majority of Duelist tree including passive buffs, and the Weak Points (I think) passive buff from the Knife Thrower tree which gives you an extra 10% Ballistic defense bonus, and I guarantee you with grab-power tactic switching on all your moves you'll be able to destroy other gun users. You might have trouble with someone who uses the Gun/CT variant though. Still, your ballistic defense should be through the roof and your opponent will miss a lot of attacks wasting IS. Just pray you don't get stated or FAR spammed out of IL in PvP.

No, I mean "What's good Ballistic Accuracy/Ballistic Accuracy Bonus and Ballistic Damage/Ballistic Damage Bonus for an SMG Specialist?" Also, the same question, but for a duelist not an SMG Specialist.

Depends who/what you're fighting.

I tried a Sniper/SMG Specialist loadout and while I like it I'm gonna grind me some money so I can see how Sniper/Expert Rifleman works.

Then grind money to try Duelist... just because.
