Managing to rez reds

This change is really annoyin. Only reason i coded up the patcher trees was so that if i ended up killin a lowbie or killed some1 with frags i could easily rez them, no harm done.

Countless times since this change has been made, us over on vector go 'I would rez but can't.' The change shouldn't have been made, was fine the way it was.

If it was changed due to DataMine, would it not be possible to not allow rez's in there instead of the whole megacity?

I have to agree with you there Bruce, it may make sense not being able to rez hostile players but it is also a pain not being able to.

I may be wrong but I believe it was always the plan to disallow red-rezzing, it just took a long time for the fix to come about.

Yes i believe the 'fix' was non hostile, blue rezzing.

Vector was fine and dandy the way it was...

I feel exactly the same way, that change was a step in the wrong direction. And all cause a few people think PvP is a professional sport and shouldn't be done for fun, but for the honour and glory of the victory, and anyone who dares to stand around rezzing people as they die (Which I often did, simply to keep the PvP going and help people get back in quickly or avoid the risk of crashing if their PC/connection is poor) is obviously upsetting a very delicate balance. PvP is serious business!

I like the change.  PvP is not serious business but it can be frustrating when you keep getting your butt handed to you because your opponent has a personal rezzer/buffer to place them right back in the action while you're still struggling to get your health/IS back up.

If you want to spend time rezzing people now you can do so at the risk of your own safety.  What's wrong with that?  Trust me, a blue-rezzer flagging will definitely keep PvP going.  SMILEY

As far as rezzing a hostile player is concerned:

In Bruceter's example I can empathize with why he'd want to revive a lowbie.  However, reviving them, imo, is a means of being kind.  If that is the case, why not just not kill them to begin with?

Garu I'm a vector player... not killin lowbies is a no go SMILEY Hell i went through the gankin while i'v lvld up 2 chars, goin on2 my 3'rd so i pay back to the community SMILEY but tbh i don't go out my way to kill lowbies, only if they're hangin out at mara or don't run when they see me SMILEY

The rezzing has nothin to do with pvp, just in general. There was times when it wasn't as busy and a bit of pvp was goin on i'd load heals (wouldn't heal till fight was over) and i'd rez whoeva died. Its nice to be nice...

gotta agree with bruce on this what was the harm with rezzing red mates, we have all been in the wrong place at the wrong time with frags and bits.

Being flagged for Rezzing a flagged player.. Fair enough.
But you should be able to Rez Everyone IMO.
What about our Hippocratic Oath?

As Medical professionals we should be able to put animosity aside and treat the wounded regardless of their allegiance.

I can understand preventing hostile healing it would lead to a lot of complications.

The pvp flag goes before the player recons, unless they've been messing around with the timers, thus allowing you to rez someone who has been killed accidently.
