Hanzyl, not missing anything.  The Stun was an example on what would happen if

another part of the game were changed as drastically as the coder changes.  Also

I listed Stun purposefully because you are a Hacker/Coder as you signature says.

I also have my enhanced items in a spreadsheet with over 300, but in addition I

took the time to put in all my normal items and Shielded and buffed items because

I know that I and many others want to be able to "Look Good" and buffs be damned SMILEY.

I also have all my enhanced weapons, consumables, tools etc in the spreadsheet.

These are also in the order that they appear in the Code Analyzer tool.

I was in beta before there was anything about having to decompile items and everyone

had the recipes already there.  Now that was too easy and the change for getting the
recipes was a good one.  The problem with this change is that it is way too much.

Half the amount I could believe in, but to limit it to 1/5 or less in the majority of cases

is a major Nerf to the coders.

I also make items for those in my faction for free with just red frags needing to be gathered.
I  also participate in the weekly Children of the Code parties on Method and now

Recursion where we would code anything under level 20 for $i 5000 or less to benefit

any new players.  The new coding limits will cause the prices to go way up and while this

could benefit the coders, it will definitely hit anyone else a bit hard.  Now why did I use the

words "Could benefit" ?  I think many of the people may just create their own coders so they
don't have to worry about the higher prices and that will take away business from the

previous coders.

Sorry Hanzyl, but I was not missing any point, I do think the YOU'RE missing my point.

*Sorry I could not resist a slight comment on you using "your" wrong SMILEY

No problem with the your and poking fun at me.. I know it's hard to resist. And perhaps i am missing your point. It's all just opinions anyways and i can agree to disagree.

Your excell sheet sounds promising. I too have the weapons, consumables and the like in my sheet. I didn't place normal clothes, shielded and armored though as it would take to long. (Hopefully they will add a comand to export your code library) Anyways if your interested in expanding your library let me know in a pm. Seeing how we both have files perhaps we can swap and place orders with each other some night.

I have no problem getting you a copy of the spreadsheet (although I am updating
it constantly)  I am trying to get a good list right now with all the info filled out
except cost to make.  I am adding that now.  The best way to exchange it
using the Matrix AIM acconts has been disabled, but maybe we can figure out
a different way.  The normal and "Shielded and Armored" items did take a
LONG time.  I had tried to figure out the file that was used for the Code
Analyzer but it seems to be both a server side and a temp file also.  I was
never able to find it.

My biggest point was that the change was way too drastic.  If they
had done it so that instead of 15 items there were 10 items only then
maybe that would of been ok, but they went way too far on this and
made it a big Nerf.

I would be happy if you could input a set number of how many items you want to code at one time.  I can stand sitting there hitting the compile button for each individual item that I want to code.  It is so freakin monotonous!  :smileymad:

Go to your loading area. Other can making abilities if you wish to make anything that has a recipee you can compile them instantly with a click of a button. no wait times.

i think this change is bad. Makes coder a bit unusefull. I spend a lot
of time to get a red frag, then i have to create decompiling bits, and
only gets 3 boosts. If i make some missions i find more than 3 boost
and gain info. So this change makes programer tree so low.

OK, can we start over then? there was so many "problems" and "unfairs" in this thread i dont even know where to start.

And being an acomplished crafter myself, I may be able to help. SMILEY

I craft all the time and all kinds of stuff....abs, tools (now), apperal, etc...I have been crafting since like lvl 3 or what ever lol (lvl 50 now). I never even relized that you could get more bits back then what you used. I pretty much stopped decoming items for bits back at lvl 30 because with farming for other stuff I get plenty of bits more or less by accedent.

However, if your in a pinch you can always go to a low level vendor and buy some guns or cloths or what ever and decom those...they are cheap and with just a little experamenting you can find what items will give you the bits you need (I almost never need to do this but I remember reading it in the newbie guides back when I was lvl3). This is essentialy the same as what you have been doing except with less coding. From what I understand...your process of coding/compiling/decoming as a net gain of bits but also a net loss of info (untill you sell what you code of course)...The process I presented above has the same net gains and losses...more bits, less info (again untill you sell); but I immagin it will be much faster for gaining bits.

In addition; one thing Iv noticed with this new content/hotfix is that alot of the node spawned npcs and the data clusters drop massive amounts of bits...so much that I wish I could macro the recycle function. =)
