If you don't know by now, I played the Cypherite Liaison, exivy.

One day I got an email in-game from recursion.rarebit and I was like, ???? It said "You've got a certain "CONFIDENTIAL" forum PM from me. If you could read that and get back to me via PM, that would be great. And don't mention this to anyone else--you'll see why once you've read it. =P"

I checked it and couldn't believe what I was reading.

I was part of the new 2.0 but arrived about a week after everyone else. I really wanted an EPN position because I knew I could play that role well, but they were all taken. I only told Sputteh that I was in LESIG, because we live together. She ended up in LESIG also, so it all worked out anyway!

I decided to be a Recursion Cypherite! the complete opposite of what I knew! Viraconrida was still in the crew and gave me a few tips before she vanished and the other Recursion Cyph never made an appearance. So, I had all the Cypherites to myself! woot! Eventually, I was the only active liaison for the cyph's and machines on recursion so I tried to involve the machines in as much as I could so they could feel loved too. Kerevola helped me out a lot, though, and I appreciate her very much.

So, I got to enjoy NightTrace's thoughts on many many issues and I tried to keep everyone from being bored at Camon Central. NT and I actually got along very well. He had a point of view many didn't understand but I could see it.

I ended up getting some partners in crime - Rejex and Stanten, and they were great. They passed me up in leveling and both hit 50 before me! I think we are the only org on all 3 servers to have all 3 liaisons at 50, plus Kerevola was 50 too. Stanten turned into the leader of our crew. He had great ideas and the time and energy to put into his character, even farmed Rejex and I patcher's bandana. He was like XIV's big brother.

I had decided to give exivy a french background and brushed up on some of the language and had a good chat with an actual frenchy while we were running missions. I think goligoth might remember that lol. She was friendly to most but liked to slap faces too. Fenshy (fenshire) and I had a weird relationship that started when he invited me to his bachelor party, which was all zion, and I got naidian to come and she was all stiff agent and I was being crazy, having fun. Ever since then, fenshy always asks me to rejoin zion and we have good banter. Something else I remember was that I named ChloeAnne's perpetual orb, sudapop. Rarebit had named the bad guy for that event, Suda, and I made fun of it all night in crew chat. Then when Chloe got the perp, she wanted to name it and I threw out sudapop and it stuck! There was Ebola, who stayed Cyph through thick and thin, a real trooper and not just an alt that logged on for events. Merchant was my missioning buddy and seemed to always be on when I was. I appreciate his help very much, since we weren't suppose to ask for it. Atlasts is a sweetheart and I could always count on her. Maybe I shouldnt name names but I think I did pretty good not showing favoritism to anyone. We were a small group so I knew the entire organization pretty well. I interacted with anyone that wanted to interact with me. I really was in it to give the players an enjoyable time because I remember how much I enjoyed interacting with Keterina. Thanks ManicV for your job with Ket, you left too soon but gave us a good villian with Systematica.

I have many fond memories with XIV and I had a lot of fun helping you all have fun. I hope that I did a decent job, I wish that I had had more time back then to develop her character more and come up with some good side stories. Hindsight is always 20/20. I wish it could last much longer, as we had more ideas and more fun times planned. But, in the words of Trucidos, "It is what it is."

Thank you for everything. Its been a great ride and I doubt I will ever have the chance to do something like this again in a game. It was a truly unique experience in which I am greatful.

~ XIV ~

Thank you, Hydra.

I really had no idea, none whatsoever, how many people appreciated Ket until after I killed her off.  I never thought of her as a combatant, and I always assumed that's what people wanted.  I figured people put up with her "talkiness" just to be nice and supportive of the LESIG program.  She was imagined as a thinker.  Someone to stir the intellectual pot.  But after nearly two years on a hostile server, I had it in my head that Vector was all about "teh hardc0re pvp'z", so I often felt guilty that Ket rarely engaged in battle.  Fighting really isn't my thing, and I didn't want to have to force it with Ket.

Anyway.  A surprising number of people have thanked me over the years for Keterina, and I don't think I've ever returned the favor for their support.  So, if they're reading this, thank you all.  For all its troubles, faults, and leaks, you guys made LESIG truly worth it.

Vogt! I have been wondering who you were. SMILEY

I wish I could have been around when Vogt made his last appearance in the Matrix. You gave a lot to the MxO community (Syntax's Machinist players especially), it is hard to put proper thanks into words. Amidst all the various drama, both IC and OOC, it can be hard to get a sincere message across and know that it was received.

I always wanted to give Vogt a /hug for everything you've done here, but it never seemed quite appropriate IC. Just know your efforts were always appreciated, even by some of us quieter folks. SMILEY

Thanks Mith for the kind words :)

I secretely knew you back from the Linenoise days where Tetragrammaton was very active on the RP scene and even in my player events there, so it was a pleasure to work with you this time under a different shape!

I never played on Linenoise. Although, it does seem like I have had the Tetra tag forever. I started playing (not counting a week at the end of beta) on Syntax in February of 2006, and joined Tetra on... *checks notes* ... the 16th, and have been there since.

Anyway, it's been fun. And it's nice to have a chance to speak OOC! I'm sad to see things end, but I'm glad to at least get a chance to say things I have been wanting to for ages.

Hehe Yeah, for some reason Vogt never seemed overly receptive to hugs.. which made it even more entertaining to throw them in there once in a while.  SMILEY

I very much enjoyed working with Vogt on occasion, as did I Fuscienne back when XElite was still rolling as an independent crew.

It is ironic, because one of the things which I said more than once to for example Zane and Cail was that I missed having Harp around, well more - so that he decided to not participate in Role Play as often as he head just a little before my time; while he had infact been one of the most innovative and original Liaisons, the entire time.

The "Machinist of the Year" and "Hovercraft Battles" are often cited as a benchmark of the level of co-ordinated activity and player interaction which might be strived towards and I would certainly count myself among those who would also advocate each as such.

It is re-asuring to see that while Fuscienne and Vogt may have retired from their official positions of Liaison within LESIG, they were still active, lending a hand within, even when they were without, the Simulation.

Thinking about the old days, who was our first Mero liason on Vector, Entropi?  Good times farming PB3 boxes in SVC with her.

I can't believe you'd forget Entropi, Vill. She was pretty much the only Vector Merv LO for almost 2 years. Baelroth did 2 LEs with her, but I think other than that she was the only LO.

LET was great about farming her to 50. You guys took it so seriously. It wouldnt have been an issue if the Furious Angels and Cyphs weren't so hellbent on chasing her across Downtown all the time. We had such great PvP battles though. We'd be running missions downtown and FA would ambush us at the hardline and then we'd call in reinforcements and they'd call in reinforcements and we'd have a huge battle in some random part of the city and we'd inevitable be outnumbered by Zion and I'd go running across the city toying with them. I remember I got so good at evading those 50s when she was level 25. Go up one elevator, run to the other elevator, go down to floor 16, stealth, wait 15 seconds, go back to lobby and walk out the front door.

Then start talking to them while stealthed next to them and start the whole chase over again.

Golly, those were the days.

All the mervs were super great and we ran so many missions and PvP-killathons.

That is why i love vector.

Hahah. I think you have the right idea there, XIV. SMILEY

Whilst we're sharing screenshots; this is what I was referring to about Rarebit being preoccupied during one of our events. Along with me getting a little overexcited about the serendipity in Area Chat.

And this is the shot I affectionately refer to, and holds pride of place as my MSN background for Garutachi, as the double take.
