My character works for the Machines.  What would be the best way to get Machine rep in order to unlock the Critical Missions?  Thanks.

You have to run through the Tyndall Zion missions first, then Agent Gray will be in touch.

I think they meant they allready did that part. To be able to do the critical missions you have to get around 50  reputation to get the full months worth. Only way to do that is to do the standard missions and all the sub story critical missions that come up.

Thanks ReProgrammed for the help.  And you were right in that I have finished the newbie Zion missions.  What kind of standard mission gives the best rep?

I know at 16 you start getting critical missions, but when I said 50 reputation I was refering to the weekly criticals in that you can't get the newest critical but you can get the older ones till 50 or around it when you are able to do them once they come out.

Okay, now I know how much rep you need to get all the critical missions.  However, that still does not answer my question.  What are the best standard missions to run to get all this rep?

Some people say that retrival and rescue missions have a better chance, But till aroun 100 rep you have almost 100% chance to get a rep point from any standard mission. After that the % lowers till you get to around 120 where it's around 1% >,<

not sure how the size effects rep, or difficulty, I always have it set on Long and Hard. *cough*

All standard missions no matter the length, "size" or difficulty have the same chance of giving you reputation points. Once you get closer to MAX REP, which is 127, the percentage chance gets smaller. Archive missions do not effect your reputation.

"Size" has no bearing on anything, btw. At all.

I have kind of the samething: trying to grind rep with a new character.  First, I was at -115 Machine rep.  So, once I decided I wanted to get back of Grey's bright side. I started doing courier/tiny/easy mishes.  These have been yielding one machine point per mish, and I have quickly gone from -115 to a mere -90.  At this rate I expect an invitation to Agent Paces Christmas party!

The courier/tiny/easy yield few xps, of course.  But you can knock them off quickly, often without fighting, which certainly saves time, and suits me fine.  I pack hacker for map download, and to hack mission computers.  I also carry Pick Locks.  This obviates the need, usually, to fight people for keys or cards or whatever, which also contributes to efficiency.

Good luck!

Using spy certainly makes missions go a lot faster when you get to use sneak attacks too. You can take down most boss NPCs (your assassination target, or strong three chevrons) with a sneak attack and a leg sweep using "Find Weakness" (at least on Medium/Hard. Easy is a different story of course.)
