If you activate the Atlas and completely zoom out until you see the city overview, you'll notice three lines crossing the bride river. The both left ones are undoubtedly these two highway bridges (the left one being the Reeves bridge connecting Stamos to Chelsea), and the right one is inscribed as "aqueduct". Any clue what it means?

An aqueduct is a manmade canal used to bring water from point A to point B, if that's what you're asking.

On the other hand, if it is an accessible area or was ever planned to be, I do not know.

It's the river that bisects the city.

I don't think it's in reference to the line across the water, I think it's just in reference to the water itself.

I'd have to disagree. I've heard from very respected sources that these may be used some time soon. However this is just a RUMOR so please do not depend on it.

"Aqueduct"

Latin: aquaeductus = waterline

I know what an aqueduct is, I just didn't take this bride river for an aqueduct and thought there was an additional aqueduct system between the south and north part of the city (i.e. Richland and Downtown) and where maybe there's a section of the tunnel that might be accessible. Of course, it was just out of curiousity.
If the mighty bridges aren't accessible, why should an invisible underground tunnel be? I just wanted to ask what it was, and apparently it's really this bisecting river.

(the left one being the Reeves bridge connecting Stamos to Chelsea)

Sorry, I just have to correct myself: Of course it connects Manssen Park to Chelsea, not Stamos.

Speaking of the bridges, it'd be cool if they were actually opened for us to go across. That would rock, in fact.

I don't really see why they aren't already opened for us to use. I'll search the entire forums to see if this issue has already been talked about.

i think this is where they kind of bend the rules... if you think about it its hard enough to have a whole world like ritchland open but to have ritchland inter westview and downtown all accesable at once the lag might be too much...so to get over this they introduced the aquaduct into the game (it is i believer in the movies too) this seperated them off....if you thinkabout it one way or another you need to go through a loading are to get to another district SMILEY

The aqueduct was already designed by the original Matrix around John Gaeta team when they created the city for the sequels.

And where was it in the movies?

The aquaduct is the space inbetween the symbal used to sybolize the city. THis I believe is just to signify the space and nothing is really there.
