Two of my factionmates jumped the gun and preregistered without knowing about the discount, so there's two under "Les Enfants Terribles." I'm broke as a joke but might be able to drive up to Vegas that weekend so if I do go I'll just go for the day. So if yall want to coordinate....I'll have him post. Or maybe they can unregister or change the reg info or something? I dunno just want everyone to get the discount....
This thread has evolved into a sad state. I still have no reason to attend this year. Nothing at all has been said about what is going to be expected for those who represent The Matrix Online. Not even a mention at an in game item. I mean how the hell can you hype us to go to this event when there isn't anything for us to do. Those of you who ARE going, please tell me why? What do you hope to accomplish by going? Honestly..... Besides meeting with friends, and taking in the sights, why would you go to an event that is not going to represent your game to the fullest? If anyone knows about dedication I do, but at this point what IS the point? No word from Walrus OR Virrago AT ALL regarding this. Oh and what of this rumor I heard that we WERE supposed to get a dev sometime in the near future? No facts to support this up till now.. A lot of questions, but no answers...

worst case senario you have a laugh with people your unlikley to come across otherwise. i know im brushing the whole percieved neglect thing to the side but at the end of the day there only so much being in one place i can deal with to begin with anyway

Bottom line is really three reasons: 1) Vegas, baby Vegaaas! (I'm take any excuse to go to Vegas. I'd go to a Clam Shucking Convention as an excuse). 2) Partying with friends 3) I might go into the event one day and try to meet Virrago & Walrus.
Really #2 is the biggest reason. I certainly won't hang out at the convention itself for more than an hour or two at most. I live in San Diego so its only 5 hrs at most by car....4 hours with no traffic and if you dont drive like a ninny.
Well im booked up and ready all i need to do is register for fanfaire can we try and get 10 people to register under 1 name i could use the extra 40 dollars on the tables

I guess we can stick with "Les Enfants Terribles" as WE ARE SOE's "TERRIBLE CHILDREN" :/ I've sent my request for the Vacation BUT there is a possibility that they (higher ups) will now allow it as it is the TRANSFORMERS weekend. GAH!!! If it get's approve will I then register.

It's been almost two months since this thread had started and yet much like Machete, I still hasn't seen any new news as to what to do there panel or Mxo- wise for that matter. Then again I still haven't gotten my approval for my Vacation as THAT WEEK is TRANSFORMERS weekend. In which sometimes, I think it's better to just stay at work than waste more money. Yes, I know it will be Fun BUT that's all there is to it. WE need to know please ASAP...as to what that is that they're trying to get for us... so we can plan for it ASAP too...

I work at a movie theatre, thus since it's Transformers weekend that they're giving me BS excuses on trying to cut down on my vacation time as I was asking for almost a week off but they would not allow me. anyways time to screen Star Trek.
I've never been to Fan Faire and had little intention of going...but I still decided to go ahead and e-mail them at the general FAQ email "[email protected]" asking if there was going to be an in game item or anything for MXO fans to do...it has been a few days but no response yet.Not surprised really but thought I would just chip this in.
Its funny how SOE lowballs people.... I asked a question via Twitter for PODCAST 59 regarding MxO's representation at this year's Fanfaire, and whether or not we should go, and the circumstances on that particular podcast's release is suspicious. First it gets delayed and released on 4/13 when it was recorded on 3/25, then we are told that our tweets will not appear in that particular podcast, but rather in a later podcast. Well I have yet to see my question broadcast on ANY podcast that has been released since then. There were other questions that were tweeted via twitter that were broadcast, but how come my simple question could not be answered? You guys thanked me for my question on the SOE_PODCAST twitter page, but couldnt broadcast it? All you had to say was no MxO will not be represented because of the lack of support for the game at the moment. Ever hear of honesty? Some of us are adults and can take bad news.. I think here at The Matrix Online, we are used to disappointment and bad news.. Reason #1001 not to go to fanfaire...
I also want to apologize for being so negative, but do you blame me? Do you blame us? I invested my money for two years straight so that I could go to the SOE Fanfaire so I could represent my game. The treatment of our game, and ourselves as paying players is downright horrible. You hype up the the SOE Fanfaire on our very website, and expect us to be all "don't worry be happy" about it??? Stop insulting us. If you want to make us happy show us some honest to goodness support and love. W .T. F. is going on over there, that you ignore us so much!
