Among the biological interface program's surprising attributes is the ability, apparently, to create a small, localized time warp, because the only other explanation for Silver's anachronistic presence on this date, rather than next Thursday, is a small continuity error by a certain game designer.
Which is, of course, impossible.

Or perhaps he created a back up of himself for such occations as the Merv ordering his deletion....
and on a side note.
Lets do the time warp again.....it's just a jump to the left and a step to the right.

It looked like quite an original event, and helped along by some good Merv lateral thinking. Isn't threatening the subject's existence/welfare, one of the standardised tests of sentience that Trekkies use?
