Ok, I can post my Signature with HTML perfectly fine, but when it comes
to trying to post a link or directly displaying an image in a post, it
always shows me the html instead of actually displaying the link or the
picture...I searched through my preferences...nothing. I searched the
boards...nothing. Can anyone tell me why I cannot post an image inside
of a post?

Also, I saw a thread about the "email account has been reset because
the account has requested it be removed from the system" message, but I
can't find it.  Is there any way to fix this?

Well I use the non WYSIWYG post option but I'm sure as long as you post the link like this:

<a href=URL here>Link Title</a>

<img src=URL here>

You should be fine. Pity it doesn't automatically parse URL to make 'em clickable when you post.

Its a glitch in the WYSIWYG software Lithium uses that treats HTML as
"Preformated Text".  Since the system stores posts in an HTML
format, and refuses to run certain tags, you can't use <html> or
simular tags without the forums rejecting it.

If you disable the WYSIWYG option in your profile, you can craft any
allowed HTML any way you want... but with it enabled, your bound by the
limits of the HTML conversion/checker when you submit.   As
redundant as it is... your forced to deal with it.  SMILEY

Be happy, at least this version of lithium doesn't log you out every 3 minutes like Planetside's version does. Let's hope they don't "upgrade" this one too SMILEY

i dont know if you got your questions answered or not, but I have a solution.

If you look at the toolbar above the dark grey area where you type your
message, you will see a line and globe with a link, and a
mountain.

For Links there are 2 options:

1) Paste the link into the message, and then highlight it and then
click the Globe, and insert the link in the pop up window.  (boom
a new link)

2) Write out a name youd like to use and then highlight it, and then click the Globe, and insert the link.

For Pictures:

Put the cursor where youd like the image to go, and then click the
mountian.  In the pop up window inser the hyperlink for you image,
and then click ok.

After those are done you should be able to have a link and a picture in your thread.

Please don't necro threads that have been dead for almost 3 years now.
