Why aren't we making up for the time we lost due to the fires? We went from a 14 day event to a 9 day event...bummer...

Yeah, I'd like an extension, too.
Most stuff pretty standard for Halloween, but I don't mind.
Nice to see a few bug fixes in there, especially location of the gun muzzle blasts.
EDIT: oh and YAY for closing the dang map legend finally

Please extend, or there will be consequences. Namely, moaning and crying on the forums.
Oh wait, Raijinn doesn't care about the game. Not really a threat tohim.

What they said.
On an unrelated note, woot for muzzel flash and Amber fixes (I reported the latter).

Not so much an extension as a rollover, and it would be duly appreciated, as compensation for the delay.

i agree with the rest of the people here. I feel bad for what is going on out west, but i dont think it is too much to ask for the halloween event to run an even two weeks.

OK the delay is understood, I'm sure most of the community realizes that it was no cause of SOE that the delay took place. However, I'm still curious about why it is taking so long to get the update going. I mean from my understanding of the technology all that should really be required is for a technician to log onto the server and flip a few switches thereby activating the halloween content at next server restart. Since the server IPs resolve in Washington DC, why couldn't this be done from any remote location that has access to the internet? Of course my understanding my not be entirely accurate, or like many things in MXO, the update is much more involved than it should be, or would be for any other game. Considering what little work it should actually take to activate/deactivate this content what is the reasoning for cutting things short? Other than the obvious speculation that SOE doesn't care about it's subscribers, I would like an actual explanation. So please Raijinn enlighten me/us, if you explain the situation we might just be more willing to accept it, but simply insisting this is how it's going to be will only leave people bitter.

It's good to see some of Rarebit's improvements floating in already :) Also, I have to agree with the above - please extend the event to it's originally intended length. Unless there's a particular reason why this should not happen?
