Vector League - Round 1

Round One

Kontamination 2-3 ThePhantomPain
Synapze 0-1 TheBrucester (Goes through on default)
Fabia 1-3 RoganClark
Mavin 3-1 Leon
Gally 0-3 cYpnis

So the first round opened with a narrow 3-2 going to PhantomPain as he defeated Kontamination to open the highly excited atmosphere. Bruce would follow quite quickly also with a default passage through. Fabia looked set to do well when she went 1-0 up against Rogan, but Rogan showed impressive form to win 3-1. Mavin also looked impressive as he beat Leon 3-1. cYpnis gave Systematic Chaos to mull over as he defeated Gally in vector's first 3-0 victory.

Preliminaries

ThePhantomPain 3-0 TheBrucester
Bayamos 3-1 cYpnis

Pain got another victory this time defeating Bruce in a very impressive fashion. Highly favoured Bayamos opened his tournament beating cYpnis, who had conquered the last Systematic Chaos entrant.

Semi Finals

Bayamos 3-2 RoganClark
ThePhantomPain 2-3 Mavin

Bayamos and Rogan had a massively close match that saw Rogan come from 2-0 down to tie it 2-2. Bayamos however found his composure again as he beat Rogan narrowly to reach the final. It would be DE's Mavin who would join him who conquered Pain 3-2, after coming back from 2-1 down.

Finally the Final of the first tournament on Vector was here. Bayamos who had reached a final on Vector was to face Mavin, who had battled hard to make the final.

Final

Bayamos 3-1 Mavin

Bayamos completed his win against Mavin to become the first champion of Vector. Mavin had fought well and looked sharp, but it was Bayamos who would have the last say as he won the tournament.

The tournament had held many impressive matches, with several MAs fighting as good as they had seemed, with others coming out from nowhere and impressing on the big stage.

The Individual Table:-

The Faction Table:-

So after One round, Bayamos heads the league into the new season, but can he keep a hold of it? Systematic Chaos head the Faction league, largely thanks to Bay, but it will take more than one man to maitain it... or will it?

Thanks all for coming, had an enjoyable night tonight! Good tourney, and see you same time, same place next week!

Round Two - 24/05/08

Round One

Gally 3-1 Disbarr
Bayamos 3-0 RoganClark
KevinxSer 3-0 Synapze
TheBrucester 0-3 Leon

Gally opened the tournament with a win this time after her defeat last week. She beat new entrant Disbarr of Dark Evolution. Drawn early was a re-match of last weeks semi final. Rogan was to face Bayamos, but Bay got right back into the swing of things when he defeated Rogan 3-0. Kevin was also new this week and looked sharp as he defeated Synapze 3-0. Leon finished of a hat-trick of 3-0s when he defeated Brucester, surprisingly easily 3-0.

Preliminaries

Gally 0-3 Inguss
Brommerz 3-0 WarOmnimonki
Leon 0-3 Bayamos

Gally looked good opening the tournament, but all hope faded as she was crushed by new entrant and hotly anticipated Ingus, who looked solid. Brommerz also was highly favoured to do well and didn't dissapoint as he knocked out WarOmni 3-0. Leon and Bay met in what was an expected close match, but it was anything unlike it, as Bayamos kept up his incredible dominance winning 3-0.

Semi Finals

KevinXSer 0-3 Brommerz
Ingus 1-3 Bayamos

Kevin had a bye from the previous round and the rest didn't favour him as Brommerz continued his good form to win 3-0. Bayamos dropped a round to Ingus, but still got a 3-1 win as he progressed to his second final in a row.

Brommerz was new to the tournaments and had impressed in his matches. Bayamos was going for his second win out of 2, as he entered a final that looked set for a massive victory for one man!

Final

Brommerz 1-3 Bayamos

Bayamos did it again as he slowly defeated Brommerz 3-1. The match was cagey with both men slowly getting into the fight. However, as the rounds crept by, the match pace quickened and Bayamos sealed his second win a row, which was last done by Swimming on Syntax about three weeks ago.

As the tournament finished, regardless of who won, the tournament continued its trend of good matches and exciting egos to watch and enjoy. Bayamos may have won twice, but as other leagues have proven, it will take more than two simple wins to win the title!

Individual League-

Faction League:-

Thanks all for coming, I really enjoyed this weeks tourney, Vector is a great place to chill!

See you all same time next week, same place, and Congratulations to Bayamos for his second win in a row...

Can YOU stop him?

Highly doubt the Assassin mask tourney will be done by then on Recursion, so I probably won't be able to make today's. :[
