Well, you're talking to a new player here that is completely in love with MXO. After jumping from MMO to MMO for about a year, I've been so entranced with this game I believe I found "The One." Now starting out has been great, but Im unsure as to what Martial Art style I would like to focus on( or combination there of). As a general reference, I'm wanting my character to be a menacing combat machine. Abilities set up in a way to complete destructive in Interlock. Though I've heard personal opinion ranging from one extreme to the other, I'm still open to opinion and suggestion (hence the post). What style would be right for me?

MxO is developing a pretty good balance so there really isn't a single dominant set-up for combat. In fact, part of what makes MxO great is the ability to change anything and everything about your character. You have the freedom to try every martial art, any combination of skills and stats, and any strategy you can imagine. It's all up to you. The only way to become what you seek to be is to put in the time, effort and practice to master the systems of the game. Fight people, try new things, become experienced. And most of all, have fun. Welcome to MxO.

Thanks for the incite. What you say is true, the only I will truly learn anything is by learning it myself. It's more rewarding that way as well. And trust me, I will be having fun.

I'd love to see Muay Thai, but you should really be mixing all 3 Martial Arts for a customized load. Pick a stat such as accuracy, damage, defense, or a certain method of attack such as a 2 hitter quitter combo, and build your load around it.

If your looking for power focus on Karate Accuracy would be kung fu Defense would be Aikido Now if your going for destruction you want to have karate with something kung fu is good for getting more moves off but aikido can sometimes help in the same way although Aikido moves arnt as powerful as kung fu moves.

Cant have guns and ma both at once.. Well... you could just be really cruddy in pvp and such i guess.. Unless some others claim otherwise.... Wondering now why people are using only up to gunman on the gun tree and wonder where there putting the rest.. =/ hmmm
