Three things made this cinematic own:
1. Bullet time shade scene 2. Blood 3. Other female Agents besides Pace
Bonus 4 - Machinists pwning Zionites!

I find it strange that Female Agents haven't cropped up more in-game. Pace will always be the Female Agent that we talk to, like Gray is really the only Male Agent we talk to, but have some female agents around the place too, this includes Agent attacks (i.e. Cinematic 7.1)

Anyone else think the people at the beginning looked like they were drawn pretty thickly (line-wise, not fat-wise)?
Also, I wonder how they choose what to color and what not to. Only the Sentinel eyes were colored unless I'm forgetting something.
Cool cinematic.

From what I remember, they only ever colour Sentinel eyes red and significant objects in the Matrix green.
Edit: Oh, and in cinematics 7.2 and 7.3 fire, smoke and electricity in the Real were blue.

Ditto the African American Agent that's shown up a few times in cinematics. I'd like to see Agent Npcs updated accordingly.

Agents are all supposed to follow the same look to maximize their "non-descriptent" look. Pace is the only female Agent to be created, and was done so for very specific reasons.
Bleh.

Chadwick does the storyboarding for the cinematics, last I checked.

Possibly, but being a Man-Woman pair (ie. Mulder & Scully... minus the red hair...) would draw less attention then a pair of Big Blokes in Suits (ie. MiB - without the neuraliser ) Also as Star mentions the African American Agent needs to get a look in. Personally I think that the Wachowski's should have casted more variety for Agents, I'm sure they could still maintain the right 'feel' of them, being imposing and tough, with the right people...

I watched it and, when I saw The Merovingian, was like, "Dude! I was totally wearing the same suit, drinking the same sort of drink and in the same sort of pose last week!" True story. But, seriously, an evil laugh? He's definitely the type to chuckle more than anything. They butchered the character in "Path of Neo" by having him doing a Wicked Witch of the West cackle every five minutes.

If I remember correctly, somewhere on the one of the behind-the-scenes documentaries, the Wachowskis said they were aiming for a sort of 1950's look for the Agents, and if you look at 1950s pop culture, it's maddeningly white-only and male-dominated (thank God for the Civil Rights movement of the 1960s). I like the fact that in the MxO phase of the history of the Matrix, the Machines are becoming a lot more equal-oppurtunity.
