Sorry I didn't catch this thread earlier... yeah this is just a typo bug. If they gave you +15%, that means it's applied to any active buffs you put on yourself or others, rather than being added to your resistances.

ahh, that's interesting, about the cap. the % can still yeild a high number, though, and more than any other clothing i've seen.

is the typo setting the effect, then? when i put on any of those shoes, my thrown resistance isn't effected on the combat tab of the status window, where the other three resistances are, those that give +XX.

so does this also mean that bonus percentages aren't applied to clothing effects? if so, doesn't that, like in my question of it earlier, make the IS regen rate bonus useless? i may just be missing it, but i've seen no buffs/abilities that give IS regen.

ahh, a bit more reading and testing and i've found that answer. vegetto did find an ability that gives IS regen, and posted about it here:

blindside had some interesting points in that post, as well.

so to answer my own question... yeah, bonuses only work for abilities, not clothing. so as far as the topic goes, this also makes the shoe bonus % only useful when you are using calm mind, calm body or some other ability that gives thrown resistance.
