with another tree...what tree iss the best to mix kung fu with? (is

seeing as im  31   *just turned   that this morning*    i would wait till around  level 26 - 30 then comdine and experiment.

FYI as a word of caution dont go pvp until  35-40   most  of the pvpers  are  40 on and  50

The good thing about MxO is the fact that you can switch between
abilities whenever you like, assuming your near a hardline. This means
you are free to expirement with different combinations of abilites to
figure out what works best for you. The main thing you should pay
attention to is which one of your abilities you would like to get the
highest (i.e focus, reason, etc.). You should look around on some sites
and figure out what bonuses you get for boosting each of these.

Also, I disagree with what was posted above about PvP. One org doesn't
rule another org durring all times of the day. Most of the time you
will find that its pretty balanced, but this again depends on which
server you are on. If you need more help I suggest you try to find a
Faction or Crew to join, either by looking around in game or checking
the fourms under your server, and ask them questions.

you might want to go karate instead, more damaging moves and to mix try gunman and karate in the event you get disarmed you can count on ur karate..

but thats from what i have heard.. i have master knife thrower and sub machine guns..

Focus on one tree as long as you can.  It will be difficult to gain enough $i to level more than one.

mixing trees becomes more difficult the higher level you go, the amount
of memory slots you have to fit skills into makes it hard to mix and
match you trees.

The amount of slots means you have to go down one tree and stay down
that tree, trying to go down another tree such as a hacker while you
are an MA will prove inefective as you would have to sacrifice valuable
skills on both sides to get halfwy down each side.

You can switch back and forth as you see fit, i keep Kung Fu, Arbalest
and Item coding going at once, but i can't keep them all on all the
time i have to switch back and forth as i need them, doing this however
costs a serious amount of info every level.

I've got about 10 trees/stubs on the go at once. Admittedly some of the abilities are back on lvl 25 ....

Just remember, once you hit 30 you start getting 2 memory per level.
This means you get far greater freedom to mix and match say Knife
Thrower and assasin, or Arablest and Network Hacker.

Definately focus mainly on one tree otherwise keeping up is going to be expensive.

What I did was start out focusing mainly on Awakened, Operative, and Kung Fu abilities.  Any $info I had left went into Coding.  Once I got to level 15 and could go into archives I started working on Hacker (Arbalest Path), so I could take on the archive bosses.  It has worked out nicely.

The only difference I did with my second character is that I started out Akido.  Martial Arts for me are a matter of preference.  You don't need to worry about which Martial Arts to use as long as you are fighting npc's.  The only time you need to worry about that is during PVP even then I don't think the difference is that overwhelming.

Martial arts mixed with Gunman I found really isn't a good mix.  Martial Arts deals with interlock when Gunman primarily deals with staying out of interlock, so you can see the conflict.  When you are outnumbered it is much easier and faster for me to even out the competition with Martial Arts than with guns.

Hope This Helps

This is more of advice for when you get to your mid to upper 20's, but you can keep this in mind while leveling.

I found that I chose to mix my martial arts up around level 25.  You'll probably want to use Karate at first as it is armor piercing and seems to cause the most damage, but as you level I found it better to mix arts for certain abilities/attacks.  For example, I would sacrifice my Karate Master's +5 tactics bonus and add misdirect punch for its blinding state.  This seemed to work best for me as far as missioning.  I would avoid some of the abilities that needed the enemy to be under a certain state and keep moves like sidekick combo and swirling ki summon so that all my abilities would be immediately usable.  I found that their debuffs, especially misdirect punch and swirling ki summon would easily replace my +5 tactics bonus that the master abilities would give me.   Using these abilities to debuff your opponent in the correct order along with dodge ranged clothing will make you invulnerable to ranged attacks by other npc's while taking the others down in interlock one by one.
