- Killing someone quickly and taking small damage
- Killing someone infront of of all their friends while they all try and kill you
- Killing someone who's been talking smack
- killing someone who is buffed while you're not
- Seeing any of the above happen to someone

People use this word for many reasons, however there is one constant about those who do use it regardless of the reason. That is that those using the word are prone to being trashtalkers themselves.

i always thought "owning" wasn't just defeating an opponent, it was destroying them, taking all their health in a few seconds while taking no damage, toying around with them and then killing them, fighting at half strengh until they are confident then taking them down in a few moves.
like whatshisname said " the only true victory, is making your oponent believe he was wrong to appose you in the first place"
