3. EDIT: ok Gotcha. Just one question. What is an area hack?

7. Ok, I set as an aim to get the "black formal shoes", but is that the only one pair of shoes to fit the bill (apart from the lucien's)?

And what about the trousers? Only the black plain slacks are there?

3.) An Area hack is a hacker skill that hits a target plus anything within a specified area around it instead of just hitting the selected target.  Generally, when someone mentions an Area Hack they are referring to Logic Bomb or Code Nuke though there are many hacker skills that hit multiple targets.  If you decide to go hacker at any point, these skills along with a variety of debuffs will be your best friends.  SMILEY

7.) Yeah, the black formal shoes are really the only good match for the System Suit... they are the same style as the lucien's, but just black instead of grayish.  Everything else either is a boot, a running shoe, or something that just doesn't match at all like the snakeskin like avero ankle boots.

Ditto for the black plain slacks.  There are a few different styles of black pant (pinstipe, derin sheen, etc.), but none of them really match the Suit.  Even with the black slacks, you'll find the colour is just a bit off.. but it's the best you're going to find until (and if) we get shade matched System Slacks.

Let me see if I can fill in any gaps...

4) If you have two copies of an ability which you can use (that are equal or below your level) it will tend to load whichever one is first in your code archive.

8) Debuffs do work like Buffs but not quite how you've described.  If you cast a buff and then unload the ability then the person you buffed loses the buff.  If you cast a debuff and then unload the ability then the person you debuffed loses the debuff (or should, I haven't actually checked).  But you can't use this to remove buffs or debuffs from yourself that other people have casted.  You can remove buffs from under your hotbar by shift+rightclicking them.

Edit: Corrected below.

9) This is known as Tactic Switching and the speed-power version is only one of a number of ways to use it.  There was a spirited discussion about this topic last year when Rarebit was considering what to do about it.  Some people firmly hold that it is an exploit while others feel it adds depth to the combat system.  In the end it was left as-is, probably due the difficulty involved in fixing it properly (and because we like our buggy Matrix how it is).

10) This definitely falls in the category of 'things you'll get in trouble for'.

@GypsyJuggler:

4. I dont think this is right. ive just tried it in the loading area. Im on level 18, and I have "code writing" level 1,9 and 15 versions, and the 1 and 9 are almost at the very beginning of the page, whilst the level 15 is almost at the end, and I still always get the 15 to load. Furthermore, it is not even possible to change the order, as if i move the level 9 to the inventory, and then back, it will seemingly get to the end of the list, but just switch to another menu option, like marketplace and back to the abilities, and everything will be back to the original order.

I think there's some arbitrary ordering going on, like in what order they were first created and added to your archive. Like how you first set up 2 title buffs can sometimes determine what you show up loaded as.

To change the order of the code at the Storage Area, it's not enough to move the ability to the inventory. As an example, let's say you have 5 abilities in this order E, D, B, A, C and that you want to have ability A first on the list. You have to move the abilities A and E to your inventory. Then move back ability A first and E second to the Storage Area. If you change tabs or windows, you will find that the new order is now A, D, B, E, C.

Take in mind that the slot remains free until you fill it, so in our example, let's assume you keep ability E in you inventory and get a new ability F. If you move first F and then E the order will be A, D, B, F, C, E.

Another possibility is that it remembers exactly which copy you used when you first set up the loadlo.

That's probably the best explanation. The xml file with the LO definition contains the level of the ability loaded when it was written.

So I tested the buff/debuff thing.  If you cast a buff or debuff on another player it will stay in affect on them even if you unload it.  If you buff yourself and unload it then it will vanish.  If someone debuffs you, you can't wipe that debuff by unloading it yourself.
