1. Generally try to fit in and attempt relieve the existing team from countless minor community and game-related burdens that take away precious time from storyline and major event development. I am sure there's alot of that kind.

3. Work together with the former LESIG and the existing team to tie up or cut off the loose ends in the story. Many issues from the past are left unresolved, and even as much as loose ends create the anticipation of the unknown, they also contribute to the feeling of incompleteness. Plus, as others said, attemt to push the storyline back to the philosopical aspect of the franchise.

3. Perma-(sub)org-lock two select locations in Westwiev to house EPN and CYPH. Make the surrounding area flag for pvp upon approach. Mess with the idea of seeding vendors that sell unique non-tradeable unbuffed sub org-related clothing without level requirement. Stuff of lesser significance that makes people happy to belong to said sub org. Real blue bandanas, red/blue pill necklaces/earrings, maybe even blindfolds for EPN (movie and philosophy-related). Generally attempt to visually compensate for the loss of distinction factor between parrent and sub orgs presented in update 64.

4. Hire Pyraci.

5. ???

6. Profit!

Hum, well, going by the logic that Rarebit would still be a Dev one of us would be devoted to Live Events and daily storyline interaction, the other doing the kind of storyline content we have now, tied into missions. With, preferably, a new mission being released each week or two with new items to help progress the story.

The main tasks that I'd probably want to tackle, would be like making Cyphs/EPN their own org and distance them from their current parent orgs and throwing in some kind of PvP ranking system which pleases the majority.

I dunno, whatever, I think half of the things we'd all like to tackle or do, probably aren't possible anyway.

Frankly, I probably couldn't say what I would actually do until I was in the position and actually *did* know the aforementioned subscribers base, etc etc.

I would turn the model for the FM-1500 into a banana, then re-release the old model as new content.

Contrary to popular wishful thinking, according to Dracomet, switching clothing buffs to points rather than percentages does not actually do anything to prevent stacking them. So really you'd have to completely redo the game's buff system, which would take a good programmer a really really really long time (assuming it's even possible with the way the game's client/server structure works). Hey, job security.

I cant say what i would do specificaly.

But i would probably...

1.)Find out all of the rules i would be bound by for any and all changes
2.)Research all resources available and then see what else i can scrape together using my charm skills...
3.)Formulate at least 10 different scenarios that would move the game into different directions of focus
3a)Solo Playability
3b) Team Playability
3c) Story Telling
3d) PvP (even though i hate it it is still a part many enjoy)
3e) player participation

4.)Call for a vote on the forums open for about 2 weeks asking players to vote for what they think the primary focus of MxO's direction should be. the vote should allow players to change their answer up untill the deadline.

5.) take the top two answers and use the strategy that best represents the primary and secondary focus as voted for by the players.

6.) Look at ways to advertise the game independent of SOE (If allowed in stage 1) such as:
6a)Player incentives for advertising in various locations posibly..(would need to check legality)
6b)Offer buddy keys to games magazines to allow their readers to try the game

X) Look into the "scary database" issue that i have heard about. if it is as much of a mess as it sounds i would likely copy the entire thing and in my own time work on reformatting it into something more useable. then beging the proccess of altering the engine to accept the new database format (probably the lesser part of the venture but judging by the size of MxO content i would imagine the reformating of the DB will take a long time.

X) Change the story format to be a bit more modular with a fortnightly LE the outcome of the LE altering the following module of the story but then the module after that would counter in a way to move things towards the intended goal for the chapter.

some story will be written and not used but in a way it is being used to give players a clear impact on the MxO story

X) look into the posibility of adding a spell checker to the chat box.

X) look into the posibility of adding a "mute" penalty to people that cause trouble at LE's or meetings preventing them from saying anything or performing emotes for several hours

X)look into complete deletion of deleted characters after 1 year of non use. rename of character on accounts that have not been subbed in the past 2 years

This will free up a lot of usernames that have been claimed by the original players that have not been around in a long time.

It can be VERY anoying being new to the game and trying to make a name that doesnt have numbers, mis-spelling or made up.

X) make 4 random unique items of clothing (using one of the standard models and pre selected buffs) and place 1 randomly in each district but not tell anyone where they are after each restart.

these would be decompilable (perhaps make it so the one that is found is decompilable but any you code are not... giving the player somthing unique to them that they can share with people.)

My first order of business would probably make people post in the correct areas of the forum. SMILEY

Hire a really really good programer (anyone remember RSI Schwartz? in real life he is a really really good programer and game development would be his dream job. I know there are many other good programers who play MXO. I just happen to know Schwartz's real life person.

Once he was in place, give him the budget and the freedom to program what needs to be programmed to fix the stacking and other "bugs" people complain about.

Guess the solution, throw a lot of money at MXO and bring it back up to being the top game. (All this of course while knowing that another Matrix movie will never be made and it's already moving into the rhealm of "cult movies." (Think Rocky Horror Picture Show.)

-Make Hovercraft battles something that is integrated into the game itself, with its own browser/ instanced area.

-Add in grenades, flamethrowers and other new stuff.

-Make some new quests that aren't story related.

-Give some meaning to PvP by making battlefields or setting control points on the city that alter the spawns. Control would be reflected on everyones map and atlas.
