A little sparse... I imagine there's some nifty storyline stuff they aren't spoiling for us, or there's a hotfix in the works.

Anyway, here's hoping that Rarebit works his bullet-time magic on standard moves soon!

I hope the story is kick-*CENSORED* then.

Actually I wouldn't be surprised if we get some surprises or if a hotfix comes through. Data mining stuff wasn't in the original patch notes back whenever was it?

That was funny the first few times it happened, but then when I was holding an event up there... it got really anNOYing. I tried taking screenshots and it seemed like every time I took one, the dumb helicopter came around and wrecked it.

I'd've been very surprised if the patch notes were longer. It's been about three working weeks since the last update and nothing grand's been hinted at.

While it is certainly sparse, I also think it was to be expected with this patch, especially considering the mass amount of work that went into the last one and the lack of actual work time since.

Here we go...

Anyway, looks like the perfect time to take a break from MxO!

Here we are starting another year in MXO...

The update notes are indeed on the sparse side; hopefully not an indication of things to come.

It is no secret that SOE allots limited resources to this game. Nevertheless, improvements could be made without that much of an increase of expenditures. For example. most players would like to see the return of a Live Events Team.

I believe this idea has been expressed on these forums before, but I will say it again: Why not hire entry-level personnel, perhaps even have college interns, conduct live events from a script? They would obviously have to be up to speed on the Matrix storyline, be able to ad lib to a certain extent, and conduct themselves in a professional manner, but this would free up Rarebit from having to do events across three servers and increase player satisfaction without an excessive increase in the MXO budget.

Who knows, perhaps more players would even return, thus increasing MXO revenues, if this was done properly.

It also seems to me that an inordinate amount of time is spent on correcting minor bugs in the game, rather then increasing the quality of the content. such as critical missions and special effects at live events, Minor bugs can indeed be annoying, but I would gladly put up with them if the content improved.

I think recently QA has been forced into working on the Vista/Direct X10 stuff.

Anyway, I'll retract some of my harshness just cuz I like the Image Retrieval. wth is it though?

The only thing worth noting in this patch, it seems.  Hopefully, this makes the collector items worth getting.  It'd be nice if the skins were changed on them to make them unique, desirable items, though.

agreed. Same with the Construct rewards. They all need a third resistance added to them.

Sparse??  ALL the neighborhood collector items had their buffs changed to reflect their levels better...that means these now will be worth wearing.  I'm sorry I don't really think that's sparse...

Health Regeneration Bonus (25%)

The thing that I'm most excited about is that they finally fixed that bug where a player coming from the tutorial couldn't join a mission team until he/she relogged. It was always very frustrating to try to show off the game to someone new who just made their character and have to tell them they couldn't run missions with me, they have to exit and login first.

Thats not what i meant. I meant:

Yuki Bandana
Ashencourte Shades
Sakura Bandana
Widows Moor Lenses

These items although alright hardly get worn due to the missing 3rd resistance and in allot of cases sub par buffs compared to level 50 items. Other than the IS regen on the last two i believe they aren't really worth wearing. These items should have there resistances scale with level IMO. That would be a good first start but a third resistance on each could help to.

Just as an example... i myself have not worn a construct item since 2006.

"Consumables can now be used from the actions panel."

Haven't you always been able to do that???
