If I put it on mute and invent my own dialogue. Wait, strike that. Add any dialogue then its pretty awesome.

There is a reason films are films and games are games. Have a look at 90% of film to game adaptations. Disaster. Same with 90% of game to film adaptations. More disaster.

I really dont want a half life movie, cuz I know hollywood will screw it up. Take that back, I do want a half life movie... but I'm willing to live without one cuz I know hollywod will screw it up.

Its because most directors arent part of the gamers gerneration. Thats why I think comics are starting to get a lot better. comics been around a while and folks grew up with them and know what to expect. Thats just my theory.

Most people will tell you, with a just the slightest sense of overall technical quality in films, that video game to film adaptations suck! Most adaptations of books, cartoons, anime, etc., blow! The reason for that, though, is because Hollywood thinks they can handle this on their own pretty well. As far as they know, they usually do achieve their goal, they make their money, and then go home. They don't care that they just crushed thousand's of fans pride and joy in the fiction, what they've spent countless hours and dollars devoting themselves to. Hollywood always hands these things to the wrong people. The Wachowskis aren't Hollywood, Christoper Nolan is not Hollywood. Hand these things to the right people and it can work, they don't even have to be big names, many prolific screenwriters and directors that have simply never had their names at the top, and everybody has their start somewhere.
F*!#ing Hollywood! (As a side note, I hope to write and direct in the future, hopefully as my main profession.)
