This is a problem I have had for several months... but it isnt until lately that I am starting to miss to hear the music that should be available ingame.

I don't know exactly what information that is required to help with this issue, but I will be happy to provide with anything that can help to solve this problem.

2 simple possibilities that you've probably already checked:

1.)  Is the radio on a dead channel?  If the radio is on but not tuned to a channel you will hear silence except for the sound effects.

2.)  Is the in game music volume turned down?  It's possible you turned it down/off once because you were listening to other music or recording movies and just forget to turn it back up.

It also happens if you Alt+Tab as well. Just click on radio, and just turn it off. The music should come back.

oh my radio works perfectly fine, it is the game music that I cant get to work. and I have tried installing and reinstalling alot of audio codecs to see if that would make any difference.... but right now I have rolled it back to no extra codecs, and game music does not work.

Faithlessness,

That's odd as I haven't heard of this occuring. Have you tried a full scan to insure that you have all the files?

Yes I have tried both using full scan and reinstalling the whole game client, and both did not fix the music in any way.

I remember seeing something about this in the old support pages, before the transfer to SOE, but I tried searching and I cant find anything close to it now.

Faithlessness,

Have you reset all your options in game?

I tried now, removing all files in my "Profiles" folder and I also removed options.cfg and autoexec.cfg.(I am not using any useropts.cfg, files backuped). But now the games crashes if I dont put the files back. I don't think I know how to properly "reset" the options ingame without reinstalling it, and I have tried doing that.

Faithlessness,

If you remove that folder you should repatch using the full scan, THEN login. Try that out please. Thanks.

Tested and failed :smileysad: still no ingame music, and I tried going to different areas of megacity.

I am starting to wonder if it might be an error outside of the mxo client, but all other music I play works fine.

I have this issue sometimes.  I just make sure my music option is
on and up, then i type /radio stop.  It'll resume ingame music
(it's a system glitch, the radio isn't perfect)
