[6.3.2] Palace access has been obtained - Vector - 1/26/07

Operatives,

A small group of operatives and myself were able to access the Merovingian palace, using a modified access code obtained from a group of dire lupine programs. Our purpose was to search for the program known as Sati, whose recent abduction has resulted in a measurable drop in the System's efficiency.

Because the Merovingian is known to harbor hostility toward the Oracle, who supervises Sati, it was considered possible that he may have been involved in the kidnapping. No trace of Sati was found in the palace area, however.

The operatives and I encountered certain unexpected resistance in our mission, notably in the form of the former Unlimit officer, Beirn. His involvement with the Merovingian's organization is still being assessed.

Please reconsider your intentions of The Last Exile. Finding is important and indeed necessary for efficient stabilization of the others remaining in their pods, but I'm afraid of what might happen afterwards by your programs picking and prodding at her code. We need to work together.

That was a good event- typical machine efficiency to eliminate all possibilities without hesitation. It's cool to see Beirn again, and that he's not just a weepy prisoner but he's actually accepted his role as part of the Mero organization, though he's probably just as desperate to impress Persephone as ever.

It just seems to me as if this entering was just an excuse to spy onto the Merovingian. Either way, Gray's RSI didn't get imploded but I bet his mind imploded as he saw his operatives getting crushed and he getting forced to leave by an Unlimit.
