Hello all,

As MxO is coming to an end, I thought that I would throw this out here, here in the General forum.  For the past couple of years, I have been working, on-and-off,on a document that is an archive of the stories, locations, and characters from MxO.  The main portion a synopsis of the storyline, from start to finish, but there is a lot of supplemental material I'd like to include.  This information has been culled from various sources across the 'Net, and I have done my best to include credit where it is due.

I wanted to get from people is feedback on it.  It's obviously going to be given away from free.  But I want to see if people like how it's laid out, if there is more information that they would like to see, etc.  Bear in mind that this is not a complete version, yet.

The PDF file is about over 1MB right now.  You can download it here:

Thanks.

This is great stuff; the most complete and accessable history of Matrix Online I've come across.

Besides Othinn's super log website, I've got a few photobucket albums, and more to come, full of critical missions, atchive missions, etc. I'll release it and update it after the shutdown. All time is devoted to getting as much as I can in the time remaining. But everyone can keep eyes on my forum. Daninst.proboards101.com

Sweet I like it.

Maybe, IDK, also as appendixes (for when we get old) the quests we were able to do, like found here

http://www.thematrix.rumbaar.net/in...a=quests#Quests

Also the neighborhood collectors, who they were what they collected & what we got. I know that we all had our favorite collectors that we used for ourselves or new fac members to get items but some we didn't maybe ever use

Maybe dungeon bosses & their 'gifts'. We know it now, and we have web sites to go, but maybe in 6 months they are gone.

Even the lvls & xp needed - where we realized lvl 40 was only 1/2 pt for xp

You know, some long time ago, I myself was working towards publishing some kind of "complete mission archive", probably by means of photobucket as well - too bad I lost interest and didn't have time anymore.

I doubt I can afford spending my time on running any single quest or mission in the remaining 2 months, either. If I was locked in a room without anything to do (and where RL endeavors and time ceased existing), maybe I'd even enjoy catching up on everything... well, not the case.

Out of (still existent) interest, how complete / detailed is your mission archive, or is going to be?

sarcasm just doesnt work on forums. I guess I really do have to add disclaimers to every post I do.

I'm pretty sure there are several people trying to create mission archives.  Maybe we can eventually put all of this together into one big mega-summary of Matrix Online as a whole, and then have a big council discussion to determine what parts are cannon and what parts are not, and also how it all fits into the larger Matrix story.  Then, with things like Phrack's ARG, we can continue the ongoing narratives of the Matrix series ourselves until the Wachowski Brothers see fit to reinvigorate the franchise.  Who knows, some of the stuff we do might even catch their attention and make that happen sooner rather than later.

I'm a pretty compulsive digital pack rat who saves most everything.  In addition to up to about 20,000 screens since beta, oftentimes I compulsively save stuff as .mhtl.  I might have some .mht files of random threads on the MxO forums from the beta and Lith days.

There were some great writeups back then on topics like The Elements, the Mission Controllers, etc. that I hope someone saved.  I sure didnt, the stuff I saved was all pretty random and esoteric, but still.

Please post or send me a PM detailing what missions you do/don't have so we can work together on getting everything before it's gone forever.

Very glad to see you guys doing that.

There was a time where I would've full-on participated in such a project, but unfortunately, I can't - the time when I played MxO was a time when I had no particular interests or endeavors in real life, and that's a thing of the past.

Sorry, but I sure can't afford to spend time on running a bunch of missions in MxO - though I do have quite a neat collection of mission screenshots (I think pretty much all archive/critical missions up until chapter 7 when I left, plus PB and all contact missions) - some of them in a very organized state, others... less.

If you need any of that, I might assist SMILEY
