Let's say that really is Morpheus. Does that mean we should do what he says?

Neo is the one who got us this truce, and, depending on what you believe, either gave his and his love's lives for it, or gave his freedom and his love's life for it. Does anyone really think he'd want us to nullify the sacrifice he and Trinity made to get him back? Does anyone really think he'd want us to undo all the good he did?

If Neo really is alive then of course we should try to get him back. But this is not the way. If the truce fails then everything he worked for is lost.

Again, that's just something that a minority of people from Zion or EPN would do. We wouldn't blindly follow him just because " OMG its Morpheus!". At this point its merely the pursuit of the truth, nothing more.

Well said my friend. For the true believer, nothing anyone can say will change the his mind. Its the believers choice. So say what you will about him, for the truth is all he seeks, even though he knows in his heart that his beliefs are true.

This has left me feeling very.. unsatisfied.

The 'Kid' is being, well, a kid. I don't know how you people can follow someone so inexperienced and naive. There's no inheritance between him and Neo, he's just some fresh-faced operative ready to believe whatever is put in front of him.
The Oracle is being deliberately obtuse. She knows what's going on but sidesteps every question. It surely cannot be 'to let us find out for ourselves' because we'll surely find out eventually anyway. It's like she's distracting us from bigger things.
Then there's Morpheus. A thousand questions fall on him like rain on stone, seeking to wear away the sand and expose the diamond within. Everything about him is in doubt and always will be no matter what happens. It's a personal choice, one you have already made.
