I just wanted to step in and add a little to this...

Yes I know most of you find this to be silly and will try to test it but I want to let you know that even though it in ways this is a silly rule regardless it is a rule and because of that the moderators will enforce it. Please don't try to test us because the outcome will not be good.

Also keep in mind that we can review edit history so if you post it and try to edit it out we can still see the first post and you will still be suspended.

All I’m asking you to do is be civil and respect the other users on this forum. Doing this can make things a lot better for all of us.

Thanks,
Jurymen

^--- Wow. So if you post it as a joke then edit it 6 seconds later you get slapped? Good job with that rule.

You know when people say "I'm just doing what I'm told."? Well thats the case here. Like I said most of you will find this stupid and become upset about the rule but I'm not here to argue that since I'm not the one who made it. I'm just saying that we will enforce it because I know how people are and what they will do.

I have no argument against the rule nor do I think it's stupid, I just think one part of it is stupid. If someone is goofing off or is in the moment and posts a spoiler, then quickly edits it out, you'll suspend him on the notion that he realized his mistake.

That's where you have presence of mind and common courtesy not to 'goof off' in the first place. People can still see his OP while he/she is editing it. Generally 'goofing off' is just a plea for attention, but SoE has it right here, a plea for attention should not spoil peoples enjoyment of something. I've not read the books, I don't plan to, I just watch the films when they come out, but I can understand someone's frustration when they are waiting to see something and someone decides to let the cat out of the bag thus spoiling what ever the person wants to see/read.

SoE and Jury have not stopped people talking about it, that's why they have two threads, one for spoilers, for those who want to know, and one for no spoilers. If you wanna 'goof off' do it in the spoilers thread.

Im wondering if they can see the times in which he edited it...

if it was edited pretty quick like you said i agree with you..

however if it was around 10-20 minutes... i am gonna have to agree with jury

You can check the time you have posted (above your Avatar) and if you have edited it should say what time under the writing so they can be bothered to look then im sure they wont go as far as a suspension

Hey, Roukan.

Tomorrow you're going to get kissed for the first time by a girl.

EDIT : Oooh, wait - I think i've just stammped on your thread. This is why people should not whatsoever ruin anything for anyone. You don't know that you're going to get kissed, and i've just spoilt the best moment of your little life for you, right?

It's out of line. Perhaps in a few months when people have read the book, then yes I'd agree you can spam whatever you want about the book. But until then, *CENSORED*.

Kthanksbai.

I'm just gonna follow Brad Pitt's advice on this topic.

The first rule of Fight Club Harry Potter is, you do NOT talk about Fight Club Harry Potter.
