We crave development news!

The community already knows what's going on in the community.  We want to know what's going on, well, on the other side of the looking glass.

I agree with the posters above me.  I couldn't care less about the forums/webpage/community.  I pay to play a game, not to use forums.

Another thing to add Raj:

Descriptions of all the characters!
Like we have for Tyndall, Gray and Flood, I'd also like to see descriptions for Pace, Veil, Niobe..etc. etc.

There's so little on the site compared with other MMO sites.

Yeah, hopefully there'll be a whole big storyline section to the guide covering stuff like that. I mean, it is kinda the game's main overall feature.

We can hope. =P

A little more depth is something I'd personally like to see.  While the updates on DN1 are great, there's things that I personally miss seeing on the main site.

  • Chapter summaries.  Way back when we actually used to have LET to do monthly events, we had an image with the event or chapter name and a small summary of the story progressing through that period.  I believe to this date, examples of what I'm talking about can still be found at www.mxostory.com... I'd like to see that brought back.  It really boosted the excitement from people who visited the site, and made them want to download the game and check it out for themselves.
  • Player of the Week.  Yes, it was actually originally known as Beta Player of the Week.  A player was picked for his/her contributions to the community, a screenshot was taken of them, along with a small interview, and their picture/interview was put on the main site.  It doesn't even have to be of the week, it could be of the month, but it would certainly be welcomed by those who miss seeing the player highlights.
  • TOSOTLG depth.  Something that people tend to want to tune into Other Side for the most are hints about things soon to be released in the game, or in testing stages now, and improvements that are coming.  So if you can per chance elude to any of this, it would be helpful and exciting to us as players.
SMILEY  Just some thoughts.  Don't worry, you're doing great.
Chapter summaries are probably best provided by development so I'll see if I can ping them and get them for general consumption. This indeed would be a good thing.

I intend on starting the Player of the Week feature sometime down the road, mainly when things get a bit more settled.

TOSOTLG...well I'm probably not going to have a whole lot of depth but we'll see what we can do.
What would qualify a player to be awarded 'Player of the Week'?

I realize that the argument is always between casual players and hardcore players, but I would like to second the request for more storyline information in one single place.  When I have time, I really enjoy browsing the Live Events forum, but I don't always have that time.

Having all the information in a single place would make things infinitely easier for those of us who love the game and world, but have families, jobs, and other things to distract us from what we'd really like to be doing 24-7.  SMILEY
