Just got Station Access, joining SWG

The xp nerf is tremendous.. I can't believe that they did that publish.. Newer players won't notice the difference, which im guess is what happened after the combat change. I wish i had just grinded to master all of last week SMILEY

i will hopefully be logging in for the first time in 2 hours :smileyhappy: whats a good server to join and hook up with u guys for some help lol. This is gona be dodgy tho as my sation access starts 17th september and i cant get my free 30 days unless i subscribe to swg so i may get billed twice bleh. anyone got a solution to this ? or will it recognise my access wen it kicks in and not start billing monthly for swg?

I got a station access sub on Monday, and I've been trying to play again after a 4 month absence.

I knew there would be changes, and I'm trying to adapt, but there's so
much that's just fubar, I really don't see myself playing after my free
month expires.

Really sad, as it was my first MMO and I loved it when i started about a year ago.

I still love the concept, the execution has been poor.

I also hear that Jedi is getting another publish/revamp,
making 2 in about 1 year, which wouldn't be so bad if they revamped the
other professions that need it. (Yeah, I'm talking about Smuggler, one
of the most (iconic, and) ignored professions in the game, though it's
not the only one, but I was a Smuggler, so I want it fixed)

Between that and 95% of my friends gone, there is little reason to stay.

Actually my new character is Inorni (thats an i at the start) i may be a tag along now tho as i deleted my old character i no longer can have the barc speeder.Which is annoying i should be able to have it if i have deleted my other character and made a new one,

I just bought the Wookie expansion and I'm downloading it now. Right
now, in game, I am waiting for the old man so I can begin my force
quest.

I saw that.

I heard the rumors, then it was confirmed yesterday.

It boggles the mind that they are basically ignoring the rest of the
players who like some of the more than 30 other professions and have no
desire to grind out Jedi.

They've changed the new player tutorial to show you Jedi fighting at
the end and if you do the beginning quest, as a real new player
would, they basically tell you 'we've been watching you, you are very
special', ensuring that everyone who even thought about becoming a Jedi
will know it's quite high profile and obtainable.

Of course, a visit to any of the major starports will tell you that too.

They've added new 'content badges' in Mos Eisley, where you start, so
you can become 99% done with force sensitive 'glowy' in less than an
hour.

The only thing left is to master any profession, which can be done in a day or two.

They've taken away the negative xp for dying to npc's and they no longer get visibility if they are in a group.

Wouldn't want to make it too hard on them now, would we?

Of course, they stated several times that Jedi was to be rare and quite hard to obtain, obviously that was just another lie.

I did not go for RoTW, as I didn't really know if I'd be staying or not.

Reading the forums, it appears that all the quests are all instanced and that many are also broken.

The new expansion doesn't look interesting if you are not going for / already Jedi.

Apparently, everyone gets to meet Obi-wan Kenobi's ghost and take
missions from him, get a special lava colored saber crystal and some
othe big reward.

Whee, what are my Smuggler, Doc, and Crafter are going to do what with those?

Oh, sorry, the Doc and Crafter can't even get them as they are
completely non-combat characters and the majority of the expansion is
"high-level content".

I'm playing on Sunrunner, at the moment. And I have two other characters floating around on there, too, but I haven't done anything with them.
