Notice that the mMcode letters correspond to the remaining pieces on the chessboard. The next move listed in the wiki is 1-0 meaning that black resigns? It also lists some other moves after which may have been kasparov's thinking ahead to where he resigns. the next possible move listed on the wiki is Kg6 I tried using the RK combo with each of the choices but nothing worked. i even tried relocating node RK to g6 but that didn't work either.

Not sure if this was pointed out or not, but on the primary node the "data errors" are Base64 encryptions which gives you lists of numbers. I think it's an encryption on top of an encryption, but I don't know which type of encryption that is.

Yeah i tried the 64 bit decryption and then took the resulting numbers and converted them to ascii from the decimal numbers. comes up with a list of numbers separated by spaces. Although those numbers go from 1 to 9 but do not include any zeros. As others I am not sure where to go with it from there.

Well, thankfully Bayamo saved a copy of the primary node along with the other stuff. So we'll still be able to study it if anything happens to it.

Yeah i've got a hard copy of every node aswell.
And the reference to the board after the movement riddle is awkward, at first i thought it was 64 squares like the chess board, but it's not. However that doesn't rule anything movement related. If the next move is the end of the game, it's possible it has something to do with the losing players king.
Side note this latter part of the riddle is seeming like a doozy, i mean outside of what you want to do to the nodes, i mean the code behind how you can use them and only one selectable point per time..... argh. It's a race i feel like im running with no track and just showing up as we continue.

Maybe there was no point in being first before but now the point may be to be first and everyone who can wrap their thoughts around this puzzle is in the running. There's someone who could probably shed some light on this, but the comms have been dark for a couple of days and my crew is on assignment; there's too much to do on a ship this size for only one man. One man that is if you don't count those on life support, the tubes, wires and probes snaking around like they were still in the pods. I try not to count them, or the pulses of their bio-monitors, try not to think about what it all means all the time. There's too much work to be done, too much even to be taking the time to write this. Closing log, checking the Comms one more time before getting back to it...

Unless that top row of blank circles is a mistake or just a heading i think were leaving out 's' as a missing variable or a blank as established within the previous translation of those chars.
That being said,
V I B G Y O R
violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange, red.
Just working on meanings behind letters, bear with me.
_ B N R Q K
_ - Now the blank in my mind is still S - but in regards to the board it's a pawn.
N - knight?
R - Rook, castle.
Q - Queen
K - King
It's in that regard that i feel the grid below depends on the selection of the right piece, thus limiting ourselves to the colors red, or blue. The others being fun and happy....but irrelevant. And as ironic as it may seem, perhaps we should play the pawn to avoid being it.
I'm still toying with the bloody hex - esque 64 code that's on the primary node, but im not getting anywhere solid with it, save for the awkward number grid that just doesn't hit me as anything.
- another chess note is the piece count:
4 blue pawns 2 red pawns
0 red knights 0 blue knights
1 blue rook 1 red rook
0 blue bishop 1 red bishop
1 blue queen 1 red queen
1 red king 1 blue queen
The pawns and bishop are the only ones that differ - my guess would be bishop over pawn but whose to say.

I was wondering if perhaps the base 64 encrypted message from the primary node might need a key to decrypt it.
Also, we really haven't talked here about the symbology of this last puzzle. Joker though tells us every time we make a wrong move. "in this struggle between machine and man, you are nothing more than a pawn". this seems to parallel the current situation in the matrix. white being the machines(or big blue) and black being the humans(kasparov). The machines have us on the ropes and there seems to be no way for us to win. so it seems like we are in the same situation as kasparov, look to continue and find a way to win or produce a draw, or resign. Are there any options black could do in this chess situation besides resign? can black cheat? could that be what emergency protocol 19 means? Should we resign this match and hope to win the next one?
