Err... LET can still hold meeting ya know. Theres absolutely no difference from a non-mission area except you get to choose who gets in or not. Since when has being able to not let nubs ruin your buisness been a bad thing?

Precisely. The construct would be a perfect place for Niobe, Flood, etc. or even LESIG liasons to conduct private meetings, but somehow I don't see Niobe inviting everyone into her mission team one by one to have a meeting. Likewise, a meeting organized by factions/players to discuss live events would go much quicker if it was one area. Let's say there are reds at Mara or Niobe just jacked in - best thing to do would be to go to the Zion area to group up Zionites or go there to spread the word that Niobe is around. Now I'll just be running to an empty mission area and sitting on a log bench by myself as I one by one contact people I know and one by one invite them into my team in order to group them up and tell them something that I might as well have whispered to them one by one in the first place.

well i thought it was going to be a cool place for people of an org to just chill and socialise without the constant pvp in the background, like i said, a personal (but better looking) mara c.

i also thought it would be a great place for people between 16-45 to go without fear of being gankificated.

mara c could have moved! it could have moved!! *cry*

The 100 rep should be a pretty good step towards protection from "nubs". The area apparently has multiple rooms, so if you need a more private meeting, you can always find an empty room and talk in faction or team chat if you are still paranoid.

*mumbles* There better be strippers in this joint... SMILEY

^^^^^^^^^what he said^^^^^^

also, it would be a place where devs/LET would KNOW they could find there org friendly bretherin, some events go unoticed by all but a few lucky people! some even have just ONE person knowing about it! ONE!! COME ON!

*points too ookanami/unlimit thread*

and it's the closest anyone could get to meeting with the merv in the chatou ^.^

The rep requirement only applies to the leader of the mission, not the other people on the mission team. At the end of the day if you don't like the areas and don't want to spend 100 mil on them, then don't. No one will force you.

Plus, you don't actually have to spend 100 mil to be able to enjoy yourself in the org area, or even not enjoy yourself in the org area.

You just have to know somebody who has one.

And like a few people have been saying... they were already around, people asked for Rarebit to make it so we could actually get in there and use them, he did. Badda-bing badda-boom.

I still don't understand why we can't have a permanent area .. like the often empty archives ... rather than this, to me, more confusing way of doing things. When I first heard about this idea that's what I thought it was going to be. A permanent place for people of a certain org to hang out in relative peace. I'm sure there is some technical reason for not doing it that way but it boggles my mind how often I am sooo not on the same wavelength as the developers. lol.

Ah well. Just one voice and all that jazz.

its mainly because the mxo is running on matrix ME and the operating system suxors.

i thought, seeing as how the mission doors just teleport you to the white halls, why not just stick the textures/buildings about 10000 km below the world map, and have the white halls just teleport you to them  but alas... SMILEY

Heh, we're on the same line of thought, Mercio SMILEY . The Children of Zion will have approximately 7 keys to begin with.

I know its a wee off topic but... IT'S NOT 'THE MXO' ITS JUST 'MXO'.

I hate it when people do that.

Technically, it is "The MxO" as that would be "The Matrix Online" - Which is the games full title.

We abbreviate it as it doesn't quite sound right, obviously, but it is true.

However.... I don't really want to argue semantics.
