Sundays are better like the 1st MA league, people work and have other stuff to do on Saturdays thats why Mxo is empty on that day usually.

Club Polyvinyl - Round One
-Minor-

Round One

Aragal 0-3 MikeCool
BladePoint 0-3 Eketemorithi
Dajarian 3-2 Escaped
Omega 2-3 GodGiver

Aragal struggled as Mike opened the tournament rampantly 3-0. Eket also started in the same dominating style against BladePoint. Many people tipped Eket to win here and it looked more and more certain as he progressed. Darjarian had a surprisingly tough match up against Escaped, who took him to 3-2. GG also surprised all there to beat Omega 3-2, in what was also a very close match up.

Semi Finals

Godgiver 3-2 Eketemorithi
MikeCool 3-1 Darjarian

Godgiver shocked again this time by beating one of the favourites in a shockingly close match 3-2. GG had reached the first final of Round One. Mike was to join, whom after making it 2-1, confortably won 3-1.

The first final of the season then would feature the surprise finalist Godgiver who had upset some very good MAs en route to the final, and MikeCool who had looked against all that he had encountered.

Final

Godgiver 2-3 MikeCool

GG put up a very impressive fight with Mike going 2-1 up. Mike however fought hard and got the close 3-2 win. Mike had won the tournament in impressive style in round one of the second Syntax league!

The tournament showed talent from all ends, with GG making a surprising final. His performance however was very impressive and was beaten by MikeCool, who looked dominant throughout.

After Round One, Mike goes top with 3pts space, however it is still very early in the season and one can only wonder who will be top at the end.

Thanks for coming all! See you all next week same time!

Yeha man GG was impressive that tournament. I didn't think he was going to make it past Omega.

This tournament was dedicated to the memory of someone known as "Pickles"!

See you all next Sunday 1PM MCT

Why do I expect comments like that from Endo? Well lets begin on your first statement. Omega has made it to, two finals in 16 man tournaments. Eketmorti has beat the majority of this server over and over.  Dajjarian has made it to semi-finals on multiple occasions. Escaped went 2-3 with him so he's obviously good. GodGiver beat Eketmorti and went 2-3 with my self.  So I wouldn't under estimate these fighters.

As for me starting the season after 2 or 3 weeks. Was simply because Matrix is boring and I was getting a lot of request to continue it. Most leagues last a lot longer then 6 tournaments. The first season was basically a trial run to see how well it would go. For example, Recursions runs more then 10+ tournaments a season.

Now lets look at your track record, you got knocked out first round. Then said something like "I suck at MA" and never came back. So your opinion about other MA's has no relevance at all.

P.S Kid, I have nothing to prove. Take a look at all my characters. Then read there CQ count. Then go look up old tournaments on forums. I stopped having to prove @$%# in this game 2 years ago. Two of my (1.5 year) retired recursion toons have more CQ's then your main character.

... Also by making insolent replies to the tournament thread, leads me to believe someone wishes they had enough talent to enter. <3

Do you even know what 'insolent' means? I don't even understand which strain of logic by which you would amount your win in this tournament to skill, with such a blatant MA bug being an issue. Anyone with a decent knowledge of the system can tell that it was an unappologetic Suicidal Butterfly spam. MA tournament results are rendered entirely incorrect as of a recent patch. Think about it. The person who was one of the first to discover the bug, was one of the finalists - especially against Omega0 (who had no knowledge of this bug and didn't even have Suicidal Butterfly in his loadout - and STILL managed two wins), when he wasn't listed in any prior 'tournaments' as a finalist. It honestly seems like you're scraping for any ill-gotten win that you can muster.

Accordingly, I won't be using that BS Platinum Pass until said MA bug is fixed. Not to say that the tournament isn't 'fair' (assuming that everyone has a knowledge of the bug - and they didn't until the very end), but it's by no measure a test of skill anyone seeing how the move has become mandatory for survival. Guess I'm just not down for a 'LOLWIN' button.

(Oh, and against you - I'd put all of my money on Endomorph any day - in any class. Just throwing that out there.)

Suicidal is nothing to cry about. When people spam it on me, they get countered with another ability. I don't have an issue with it, nor would I whine about suicidal determining the outcome. Why don't I? Well one, I'm not a bych. Secondly there is a 10 second reuse timer on Suicidal which allows for a lot of of specials, combo's, and debuffs to make them miss the next one. I notice how you say it was recent. How did you come up with that? It has always been a high rolling ability. This game is never, not going to have bugs. Hence why we have to die before every fight in a tournament. You just have to learn to adapt to them. I'm not suggesting you abuse bugs but it isn't a bug. It's an ability and it tends to roll higher then others. So I suggest people who complain about it, learn to counter it.

Take Misdirect Punch(Low level ability) in Cr1. With Blue hand and Misdirect it would always out-roll an EFK or Punch Reversal. Sometimes people would complain but eventually they learned to adapt and it just became part of the game. Misdirect, was a high rolling ability. People accepted it, just like suicidal is a high rolling ability. N' if you think it can determine an entire fight by pressing it every 10 seconds. Then simply don't fight. While the rest of us MA's will cope with the high rolling ability. You can sit out and watch. Hmmkay?

P.S Say when and where with MA Endo. (Don't let someone go on your account, that will end badly from Brewko).

Suicidal Butterfly has always been a high rolling ability, but as of the last patch, tests show that when rolled against any other ability, tactic, etc, other than another Suicidal Butterfly, it will ALWAYS hit.  Let me break it down for you:

al·ways play_w("A0236900") (ôlwz, -wz, -wz)
adv.
1. At all times; invariably: always late.
2. For all time; forever: They will always be friends.
3. At any time; in any event: You can always resign if you're unhappy.

You do understand the meaning of 'always' correct? Now that's out of the way, we can conclude that 1: Suicidal Butterfly can not be countered by any other move. 2: You have no idea what you're talking about, since you claim this to not be the case. 3. Because of the dependency on this move, loadouts without Suicidal Butterfly are instantly crippled - and have a severely lowered chance of being effective against another MA. Because of this - class differentiation is virtually non-existent. You can take your ill-won BS tourney honestly, I couldn't care less. But don't come at me like you even have any idea what you're talking about when you don't even know about a blatant bug that has been around since a patch or two ago, and it has to deal with the class that you consider to be your forte.

I reiterate - this bug - assuming that every contestant has it loaded (never the case) - does not impede the fairness of a tournament, assuming that everyone knows about this bug. When I made it known, it was apparent that a large portion of the contestants had no idea. Right there invalidates the tournament results. And that's not even to say that I couldn't just roll into a tournament and spam Suicidal Butterfly all day, and pull out with a cheap win in record time. However, that is not skill. Some of us would prefer to know that our win was entirely fair, and that we took it by force....Not through some lucky chain of events. SMILEY
