Boosted Shot: Can this be correct?

Called

The collector's item "Boosted Shotgun" from Lamar District (Collector
Bowie) is a level 30 buffed shotgun. The description reads: (loosely,
correct me if the number is off) 5% chance 248 dmg over 30 secs, so DoT
should be TOTAL 248 dmg. But instead it does 248 dmg EVERY 5 SEC for 30
sec. Do the math: that's almost 1/2 your health gone from one fortunate
shot. I think that's a bit much from a lvl 30 shotgun, using no
abilities at all.

btw it's 320 damage not 248

It scales from 200 to 320 for 0-240 resistance

woot they fixed it!!!! now for the uber AOE heals to be nerfed a tad (not to much though)
